<p>Another incredibly competitive league in New England, there are a number of prospects that could have made these teams, as the competition for Player of the Year and All-NEPSAC was at an all-time high.</p>

<p>Below are the 2024-2025 Prep Hoops New England NEPSAC A Player of the Year and All-NEPSAC teams.</p>

<p><strong><em>Player of the Year: [player_tooltip player_id='2396716' first='Alex' last='Wilkins'] - Brooks School</em></strong></p>

<p>After coming back from an early season injury, Wilkins put together one of the most impressive stretch runs in NEPSAC history. After averaging over 25 points per game during the regular season, he turned it up another notch and averaged 30 points per game while leading <em>Brooks</em> to the NEPSAC Class B championship. While cementing himself as one of the top guards in New England this winter, he set a program-record with 47 points in a single game and knocked down the game-winning shot in the championship. At 6'5", he's a bigger guard that plays with a high basketball IQ and has the ability to run an offense as both a creator and scorer. He defends multiple positions, can rebound at a high level, and puts winning above all else. He'll continue his career at the next level when he heads to <strong><em>Furman University</em></strong> in the fall.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='1529125' first='Ryan' last='Altman'] - The Rivers School</em></strong></p>

<p>The <em>ISL Most Valuable Player & Defensive Player of the Year</em>, Altman is one of the most athletic, skilled, and competitive guards there is in New England. A big time scorer of the basketball, he was an anchor for a <em>Rivers</em> group that dealt with plenty of injuries this winter. He had the ability to score at all three levels, showing a pure shot from behind the arc and the athleticism needed to get into the paint and finish with authority. He could slide over and operate as a primary ball-handler and repeatedly made good decisions with the basketball in his hands. Defensively, he was capable of guarding up and down a position and did a terrific job of making an impact on the glass. He'll continue his career at the next level when he heads to the <strong><em>University of Pennsylvania</em></strong> in the fall.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2396729' first='Momo' last='Nkugwa'] - The Governor's Academy</em></strong></p>

<p>An elite athlete, the 6'3" Nkugwa was a standout on both ends of the floor this winter for <em>Governor's Academy</em>. He impressed with his versatility on the offensive end of the floor and continued progression towards being a primary ball-handler. He made good reads out of ball screens, showed great burst off the bounce when attacking the paint, and could finish as well as any prospect in New England at the rim. He was elite in the open floor, both as a finisher or creator, and did a nice job of knocking down shots in catch and shoot situations. Defensively, he was a terrific on-ball defender that used his length and athleticism to his advantage when guarding on the perimeter. He'll continue his career at the next level when he heads to the <strong><em>University of Vermont</em></strong> in the fall.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2341414' first='Alexander' last='Echevarria'] - St. Mark's School</em></strong></p>

<p>A crafty scorer that averaged over 18 points per game this winter, Echevarria did a bit of everything on the offensive end of the floor for <em>St. Mark's</em>. He was a strong decision maker with the ball in his hands and averaged over 4 assists per game operating as the primary ball-handler. He did a nice job of playing at different speeds, could quickly change direction, and showed great floor vision when he got into the paint and drew an extra defender. As a scorer, he really impressed with his ability to finish over size and to consistently knock down shots in catch and shoot situations or off the dribble. Defensively, he was strong at the point of attack and created a high number of steals and deflections. He runs on the travel circuit with <em>Above The Rim Elite</em>. </p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2696641' first='Khari' last='Bryan'] - Proctor Academy</em></strong></p>

<p>A compact and powerful 6'2" guard, Bryan made a smooth transition to the NEPSAC where he starred from Day 1 for <em>Proctor Academy</em>. He proved to be a capable scorer, putting up 20 or more points on multiple occasions, while also operating as a secondary playmaker. Physically strong, he had the ability to play through contact in the paint while also showing some solid floor vision and the ability to find teammates for easy scoring opportunities. He made good reads out of ball screens, could bully his way to his spots off the bounce, and had the ability to consistently knock down shots in the mid-range and from behind the arc. Defensively, he was a strong on-ball defender that could guard any spot on the perimeter while also making plenty of plays in passing lanes. He runs on the travel circuit with <em>BABC</em>.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2325867' first='Andreo' last='Ash'] - Canterbury School</em></strong></p>

<p>A big, 6'8" combo forward with real three level scoring ability, Ash was a standout this winter for <em>Canterbury</em>. He had some really impressive scoring night, showing the ability to go for 25+ at almost any time, while also displaying the versatility needed to impact the game in a variety of other ways. A plus athlete, he did a nice job of finishing plays above the rim in space, got to his spots as a scorer in the mid-range, and could knock down shots from behind the arc in catch and shoot situations. His length, mobility, and size came into play on the defensive end of the floor, where he did a good job of guarding multiple positions and made his presence felt on the glass. He'll continue his career at the next level when he heads to <strong><em>Canisius University</em></strong> in the fall.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2553711' first='AJ' last='Trimboli'] - King School</em></strong></p>

<p>A stat sheet stuffing guard, Trimboli was a major offensive threat this winter for the <em>King School</em>. A nearly 40% shooter from behind the arc, he proved capable of going for 20 plus points on any given night. He's a crafty ball-handler that did a nice job of creating out of ball screen actions, manipulating the defense to open scoring opportunities for himself or finding teammates for open shots at the rim. His creation abilities stood out as he averaged over 5 assists per game, showing a great feel for where his teammates were in the half court. He's shifty, does a nice job of playing at different speeds, and finished in a variety of ways over size in the paint. He runs on the travel circuit with <em>Rens United CT</em>.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2325737' first='Robby' last='Fiore'] - The Rivers School</em></strong></p>

<p>A big time athlete on the perimeter, Fiore shined as a secondary scoring options for <em>Rivers</em> this season. The 1,000 point scorer was a bouncy guard not only shined with his ability to finish plays at the rim, but also showed in the gym range on his jumper and the ability to knock them down in bunches. He moved well without the basketball, attacked the rim with aggression in transition, and was able to score in the mid-range out of isolation situations. On the other end of the floor, he did a nice job of creating turnovers, both on the ball and in passing lanes, while also using his athleticism and strength to rebound in space. He'll continue his career at the next level when he heads to <strong><em>Babson College</em></strong> in the fall.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Team: Zoumana Traore - Millbrook School</em></strong></p>

<p>A big wing with impressive physical tools, Traore stood out with his two way versatility for the <em>Millbrook School</em>. A long and lean 6'8", he's elite when attacking the rim as a straight line driver, while also showing the ability to make shots from behind the arc. With his length and burst, he had the ability to quickly get to the rim where he was able to elevate and finish over defenders with authority. He shined as a cutter and also showed the ability to play as a ball handler or screener in ball screen actions. Defensively, his versatility stood out as he used his combination of size, agility, and strength to guard any position on the floor. He rebounded at a high level, caused havoc in passing lanes, and could really protect the rim from the help side. He'll continue his career at the next level when he heads to <strong><em>Brown University</em></strong> in the fall.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2546912' first='Carter' last='Galley'] - Kents Hill School</em></strong></p>

<p>One of the top perimeter scorers around, Galley stood out in his lone season at <em>Kents Hill</em> with his ability to play on or off the ball and to generate offense at a high clip. A compact guard, he played with impressive strength on his drives, always seemed to have his motor turned up, and was an instinctive cutter off the ball. He adjusted nicely to the higher level of competition, showing a high compete level and the ability to score at all three levels. His basketball IQ stood out as he was able to make plays in the half court, as well as in transition, and showed a great feel for the game when operating in screening actions. When he was off the ball, he showed out as a shot maker that could really get hot in a hurry from behind the arc. He'll continue his career at the next level when he heads to the <strong><em>University of Southern Maine</em></strong> in the fall.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2341412' first='DJ' last='Biggins'] - Kingswood Oxford School</em></strong></p>

<p>An impressive athlete with lock down skills on the defensive end of the floor, Biggins had an impressive junior season on the hardwood at <em>Kingswood Oxford</em>. The lefty guard did a terrific job of spacing the floor, opening up driving lanes for his teammates with his ability to knock down threes at a high clip. He was consistently shot ready, used hesitations and pass fakes to keep defenders off balance, and could get his shot off while on or off balance. He had a quick first step when he put the ball on the floor and had the ability to finish through contact in the paint. While he was a more than capable scorer, he stood out with his ability to defend the basketball at the point of attack. An elite mover with good athleticism, he kept opponents out of the paint and cause a high number of turnovers while guarding the ball. A member of the <em>Class of 2026</em>, he has already committed to <strong><em>Boston College</em></strong> to continue his football career.</p>
