Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Biggins, a guard out of the Kingswood Oxford School in Connecticut, finished out his high school hoops career as the Class B Small Player of the Year. Biggins, a terrific two-way guard, managed to lead Kingswood Oxford all the way to the Class B Small championship game, where they came up just short of capturing the title. He’s a terrific perimeter defender that causes havoc on the ball with his combination of athleticism, quickness, and strength. He has another gear in transition, where he thrives as a scorer and creator, and even showed the ability to make shots from the perimeter in catch and shoot situations. He did all the little things a lead guard needs to do to impact winning and make his teammates better. He will continue his academic and athletic careers in the fall at Boston College, where he’ll focus his athletic exploits on football!

Biggins is committed to Boston College for football as a wide receiver, and you can see why. He has incredible strength and quickness and is super difficult to keep off his line on drives to the rim. The lefty also flies and takes contact quite well in the air, and he can even make the defense pay from the perimeter (though his shot wasn’t falling in Sunday’s championship game). Biggins is a leader for Kingswood Oxford, and they’ll certainly miss him next season as they look to aggressively rebuild. Excited to see what Biggins does on the football field next season.

Biggins is committed to BC for division 1 football next season, and you can see why. The 6-foot-1 guard is a phenomenal athlete and uses his quickness and explosiveness on fast breaks to completely overwhelm the defense. He also makes solid, under-control reads for his teammates when the help comes. Additionally, unlike many football players, the lefty actually has a very solid three-point shot that he can knock down consistently off the catch or off the dribble. Biggins has probably been Kingswood Oxford’s best player this season and could be a college basketball player if he wanted to.

DJ Biggins DJ Biggins 6'1" | CG Kingswood-Oxford | 2026 State New E is a quick and athletic guard who plays with real burners. You can’t keep him contained on 1 v 1 scenarios. Once he gets by you, it’s over as Biggins has already finished at the rim. He combines his speed with some impressive off-the-dribble shooting from the mid-range and three-point areas. The southpaw is smooth and effective from the top of the key and the corners as well. Biggins is also not afraid of going inside and finishing like an acrobat. He loves to jump high and contort himself to get the ball in the cup. This toolsy guard should be high on programs and coaches watch lists.
