With the recent update of our class of 2026 rankings, we will take a look at positional rankings between guards, wings and forwards.

Here's a look at part two of the top point and combo guards in the junior class.

15) [player_tooltip player_id='1782687' first='Phenix' last='Card'] | 6'0” CG | Gilliam Academy (#40 Overall)

Card transferred to the new Gilliam Academy this past season, and while they played an abbreviated schedule he still showed why he's one of the best guards in the DMV area. The 6'0” combo can fill it up with the best of them as he can move off the ball and knock down shots at a good clip, he's shifty off the bounce and able to finish in the paint, he makes plays for others and he's dynamite in transition.

14) [player_tooltip player_id='2301294' first='Akim' last='Iscandari'] | 6'0” PG | Potomac School (#39 Overall)

Iscandari had yet another great season for Potomac School, and he's one of the hardest guards to stay in front of in all of the state as he is a freak athlete who is faster with the ball in his hands than most are without it. He has a quick first step and great burst with the ability to change speeds making him even more dangerous, he's a blur in transition pushing the ball, he is a good finisher around the rim and an excellent on ball defender as well.

13) [player_tooltip player_id='1782688' first='Khaliq' last='Carson'] | 6'0” PG | Bishop Ireton (#38 Overall)

Carson was always a guy who could play with the best of them, he was just tiny coming into high school, and after a growth spurt he is attracting division one coaches with his old school approach to playing the lead guard position. He sets the tone on both ends as he's a very good defender who can pick up 94 feet and has great instincts to jump passing lanes, his IQ is off the charts as a playmaker, he's excellent in pick-and-rolls and he picks his spots and scores it efficiently when he needs to.

12) [player_tooltip player_id='2246278' first='Julian' last='Burgdolf'] | 5'11” PG | St. Stephen's St. Agnes (#36 Overall)

Burgdolf came into his junior season with us expecting a good year from him, but he exceeded those expectations helping lead his Saints team to the VISAA D-I Final Four and jumping nearly 20 spots in the rankings. While he isn't the biggest guy at 5'11”, he is one of the most polished guards in the DMV with the ability to score it off the bounce from all three levels, great pace to his game, tremendous vision and playmaking ability as well as the ability to set the tone defensively.

11) [player_tooltip player_id='2252294' first='Jemon' last='Price'] | 6'2” CG | Westfield (#35 Overall)

Price has been a big part of Westfield's turn around over the past few years, and as part of a junior class that will return 7 of their top players they could make a run at the whole thing next year. The 6'2” combo is best described as a flat out hooper with his ability to score the ball off the bounce from multiple levels, move off the ball and make shots on the move, make plays for others with his shiftiness and vision and he always seems to step up against good teams and individual matchups.

10) [player_tooltip player_id='1588134' first='Zyon' last='McGlone'] | 6'0” CG | Peninsula Catholic (#32 Overall)

McGlone came into his junior season well known in the 757 after his first two years at King's Fork, but after transferring to Peninsula Catholic he was fantastic this season helping lead them to the VISAA D-II State Championship before a heart breaking loss to Miller School. McGlone is a special kind of athlete who can chase down blocks in transition and play above the rim at 6'0”, he has great burst to get downhill, he can create space and make shots and he's a good defender laterally as well.

9) [player_tooltip player_id='1963397' first='Chris' last='Morrison'] | 6'2” PG | West Potomac (#26 Overall)

Morrison transferred to Bishop O'Connell before transferring back to West Potomac midway through the season, and immediately became one of the best guards in NOVA public school again immediately making an impact. He's an intriguing prospect as he has good size and strength for his position, he can knock down shots from deep and the midrange off the catch and off the bounce, he's a good rebounder and he has great instincts on both ends of the floor.

8) [player_tooltip player_id='1782691' first='Jordan' last='Hunter'] | 6'1” PG | Paul VI (#25 Overall)

Hunter is overshadowed on one of the best teams in the state but he's the type of player that would be an All State player if he was at a public school or lesser of a team. The 6'1” guard is a quick twitch athlete who moves his feet well guarding the ball and is an absolute pest defensively, he can touch the paint whether it's in isolation or in pick-and-rolls, he finishes well in the midrange and can knock down shots from deep and he has a competitive chip you can't teach.

7) [player_tooltip player_id='1782690' first='Silas' last='Devonish'] | 5'9” PG | Bishop Ireton (#22 Overall)

Devonish has been the guy for Ireton since he stepped on the floor his freshman season, and continues to show he's one of the best players in one of the best conferences in the country with his ability to impact the game day in and day out. While he isn't the biggest guy he's an absolute dog who brings it on the defensive end and can guard 94 feet, he is dynamic as both a scorer and distributor in transition, he can get hot and take over games with his scoring ability and he's willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win.

6) [player_tooltip player_id='1446198' first='Carmelo' last='Swinson'] | 6'2” PG | Massanutten (#18 Overall)

Swinson has been a commodity in the 757 since he was in middle school, and while he had the reputation as a lethal scorer he transferred to Massanutten where he played on their post grad team in the Elite Prep League and showed a lot of growth in his game. The 6'2” lefty is still able to score it a number of different ways, whether he's off the ball and spotting up from deep or getting to spots off the bounce where he can make tough shots. What really impressed this year was his work ethic and maturity as he showed he can run the show and make good decisions with the ball in his hands, he's a capable and willing defender and he's always in the gym working on his craft.

With the recent update of our class of 2026 rankings, we will take a look at positional rankings between guards, wings and forwards.
