Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
McGlone is a strong, athletic, and attacking guard who is at his best getting downhill into the lane and operating in the midrange. He can create his own offense off the bounce, plays with confidence, and consistently puts pressure on the defense. His experience competing in the Nike EYBL Scholastic League with Oak Hill this season has helped elevate his development and toughness against high level competition.

Already a known name in the region, McGlone showed exactly why he carries that reputation. The Boo Williams EYCL guard is as explosive as they come and consistently brought energy and production.
He lived in the paint, attacking early and often, finishing through contact, and making highlight plays along the way. His combination of strength, athleticism, and scoring ability makes him tough to contain. McGlone looks every bit like a scholarship-level player and continues to trend upward with each performance.

brought energy and explosiveness every time he stepped on the floor. The Oak Hill floor general averaged 18 points per game. He consistently put pressure on defenses with his speed. His strength also added to the pressure on defenses. McGlone is built with a college-ready frame. He doesn’t shy away from contact. He has the athleticism to finish above the rim. This always turns heads at this level.
He’s more than just a scorer, though. McGlone does a great job changing pace, keeping defenders off balance, and getting to his spots. When he’s in rhythm, he’s tough to contain. He can score at all three levels. He also controls the tempo. These skills make him a guard that college programs will be tracking closely moving forward.

McGlone is a strong, highly athletic attacking guard who thrives putting pressure on the defense. He is a creative finisher in the paint, using his explosiveness and body control to score in traffic. Excellent in the open floor, he plays well in transition and creates easy scoring opportunities. Defensively, he brings versatility with the ability to guard multiple positions, making him a two-way impact player with plenty of upside.

Zyon is one of the most athletic backcourt players I’ve seen thus far on this young season. His ability to make above the rim plays in transition is definitely the loudest aspect of his game. What I loved from him on Friday afternoon was his ability as a point of attack defender. He applied constant pressure without being undisciplined, leading to a lot of success for his team. He also played under control, showed some outside touch, and got his teammates involved as they cruised to a 14 point win. Expect McGlone and Peninsula Catholic to have a lot of success and create a lot of memorable highlights all season long.
