Nazir has made noticeable strides as a scorer who can create for himself in the open floor. His handle allows him to operate comfortably in the halfcourt, and he’s confident shooting both off the catch and off the bounce. When defenses key in on him he has learned how to find different ways to attack. Nazir stays aggressive all game despite worrying about misses/makes, plays with complete confidence as his experience grows. Continues to compete hard defensively and can impact the game on that end of the floor when locked in. His confidence combined with his improved shot creation, has elevated his overall offensive threat as he is soon to enter his all-important senior year.

It was nice to see the huge jump in confidence and skill from the junior guard Nazir Anderson Nazir Anderson 6'2" | CG/PG Perry Hall | 2027 State MD . Nazir was effective all day shooting the ball from range, burying some very deep 3’s by the showcase’s end. He remained confident through his misses which kept him effective through each scrimmage. I liked the way Nazir showed his ability to create his own on the ball without needing to spot up beyond the arc. It’s clear Nazir has been working on his game tirelessly over the year, I wouldn’t rule out another jump in progression.

Nazir jumped out to me as a natural pure shooter the first time I caught him in Baltimore. He has a good sense for finding spots on the perimeter where his team can find him. Nazir knew how to set-catch-and-fire early on in his high school career, and his game has since expanded offensively. He likes to mix it up and get inside the line. Nazir’s shown consistency in taking a couple dribbles inside and pulling up in the mid-range. Lots of potential to grow as a scorer but already stamped as a knockdown shooter in the area.

Nazir impressed our scouts over the summer and continued on during the season. Averaging about 13 points a night while defending tough matchups on the other end. Rosedale has played a number of high-caliber teams and Nazir has been at the forefront of Rosedale’s valiant efforts. He’s got a very reliable C&S 3pt shot and gets his shot off quickly over good closeouts. Nazir has no fear of attacking the basket and taking contact on his way to finishing the play. All heart defensively and gives nothing easy when he’s tasked with the top offensive guards across the DMV. Gets a nice jump on the passing lane both in the backline of the zone and while playing up on the perimeter. I can see Nazir becoming one of the top 3&D guards in his area & class as he and the Panthers put the pieces together over the next couple years.

Nazir Anderson is a sharpshooting off-guard for the young RCA team. When the defense closes, he is capable of putting his head down and finishing at the rim. Very effective in transition using his speed to get out on the break and finishing with a layup. Sneaky handle and first-step quickness that can get him into the second level of the defense. Decision-making will get better as he plays more high school games and his new team gains more cohesiveness.
