Prep Hoops Indiana Regional Preview – Class 4A South

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There were 403 teams that started the journey to Gainbridge Fieldhouse last week. Then, on Saturday, we crowned 64 Sectional Champions. We will cut that field in half once again this coming Saturday in the Regional round. As always, Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage throughout Sectional week and will be hitting a handful of different gyms for Regional action as well. As we did prior to Sectional week, we will spend this week previewing the 32 Regional matchups that will be played on Saturday, March 15th. Jeffersonville has been a different team since getting Northwestern signee [player_tooltip player_id='1388408' first='Tre' last='Singleton'] back from injury. They've now won 14 straight games and are certainly playing their best basketball at tournament time. Wright State bound [player_tooltip player_id='1297093' first='Michael' last='Cooper'] leads the Red Devils in scoring at 19.2 points per game while Singleton adds 18.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. [player_tooltip player_id='1373104' first='P.J.' last='Douglas'], who is also headed to Wright State, chips in 12.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. As for Evansville Harrison, they are led by a senior trio of their own. [player_tooltip player_id='1297113' first='Shane' last='Sims'] stuffs the stat sheet averaging 19.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. [player_tooltip player_id='1297123' first='Jay' last='Summitt'] adds 14.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. Big man [player_tooltip player_id='1539669' first='Brooks' last='Thomas'] averages 13.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Under-the-Radar Regional</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Don't count out Coach Steve Lynch and the Brownsburg Bulldogs. They made it through the gauntlet of Sectional 11 defeating Avon, Plainfield, and Ben Davis. The Bulldogs are a well-balanced team with no player averaging in double figures. 6'7" senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1539507' first='Jesiah' last='Sloss'] leads the way with 9.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. On Mt. Vernon's side, Class of 2026 Purdue commit [player_tooltip player_id='1728587' first='Luke' last='Ertel'] is the star averaging 22.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
