He's an impressive two-way presence who showed he could defend a top prospect while also still maintaining his role as initiator on offense. He nearly put up a triple-double against Freedom Christian with 12 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists then followed that up with 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals in the Championship Game. He shot 8-of-18 (44.4 percent) from the field between the two games for HCA. At 6-foot-5, he's shown he can be a menacing presence defensively, altering shots and playing in passing lanes. Offensively, he's shown he can finish with authority and knock down shots off the catch. He showed off his ability to knock down shots from perimeter as he finished with five made 3-pointers and finished with 19 points against Wayne Country Day. He finished with seven assists as a playmaker in the backcourt across two contests. He knocked down 23 points on three made 3-pointers in a close loss to Wayne Country Day in their opening game then poured in 30 points in their third-place victory over Eastern Wayne in a comeback effort. NTA overcame a 32-25 first quarter deficit in their second game, as they won running away 113-102. He took home Outstanding Performer in the victory over Southeast Raleigh. The Chargers overcame a 12-point deficit in the Championship Game as Freeman got hot when it counted to pace the way. He finished with 25 points in the 75-62 comeback victory as he showed off his ability to finish in traffic and knock down tough shots in space. He operated well in the mid-range and on the perimeter in showcasing his scoring ability. He's a prospect for DII programs in the region to get eyes on.
