Freeman is one of North Carolina’s most prolific scorers and is looking to wrap up a magical career by helping lead Wayne Country Day on a cinderella run to the NCISAA 2A State Championship. Wayne Country Day is 24-10 on the season and the #8 overall seed in the 2A bracket. Freeman has scored over 2000 points in his career and it’s largely due to how strong his frame is combined with his 3 level scoring touch. Some kids are wired to score the basketball, Freeman is one of those kids. Freeman has also shown the ability to play the point, proving he’s more than just a bucket getter. Freeman is a major leader on this Wayne Country Day team, they go as he goes and they have a chance to be a real factor in this bracket if Freeman can find a way to peak at the right time and fill it up every time out. A deep run will only help give him more next level options as the talented senior is trying to narrow it down.

Freeman is a known producer in the state of North Carolina but he is showing improvement in his feel for the game and the variety in which he scores his baskets. Freeman was in total control and super aggressive on Friday night. He blended his outside touch with his ability to finish through contact inside, making him a constant scoring presence throughout the 32 minutes. A big win over First Flight for Wayne Country Day was in large part to Freeman’s scoring prowess.

A player that can absolutely fill it up scoring wise, he created problems for any defender that tried to get in his way. He understands how to get to his spots without much of an issue and even when he’s guarded closely, he still finds ways to get his shot off.

Not many guards his size have the scoring bag he possesses and it was on full display this past weekend. He scored the ball from all three levels, with pull up jumpers, floaters and even catch and shoot threes. He’s a guy that has show. The ability to score with the ball in his hands and off the ball, one coaches should be tracking.

After a strong Junior season where he was the leading scorer of his Wayne Country Day squad that he led to the NCISAA 2A Semifinals, he should be one of the prime candidates to have a big summer. Not many guards in the east have a deeper scoring bag, he has the unique ability to score from all three levels where he uses an array of moves from step back jumpers to floaters with either hand. Will be running with No Guts No Glory.

Freeman moves into No. 41 and into the 10th combo guard spot as he shows off his fit at Wayne Country Day School. He’s another prospect for DI and DII programs in the region to get eyes on given his ability to turn defense into offense in a hurry. He’s a gritty guard who’s capable of defending the best player while also imposing his will as a multi-level scoring threat on the opposite end. He’s a strong-framed combo guard posting 18.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game with another year to go on the NCISAA stage.
