Expert Analysis
Miles Masercola | Prep Hoops Scout
Tyler has been a consistent presence in the Wayne Country Day backcourt over the course of his high school career and has simply done a whole lot of winning. Bringing a steady hand at the PG spot, legit range on his jumper, and a ton of toughness, Tyler possesses a ton of next level traits that should have schools looking for late additions to be calling his name. Tyler’s ability to make shots off the catch allow him to co-exist along other on-ball guards but he really is such a smart PG with the ability to run a team. That versatility was key for Tyler in his high school career playing alongside prolific scorer

Tyler is an underrated point guard prospect who continues to show off his ability to make plays and knock down shots on the perimeter. He impressed with his ability to find teammates for easy buckets while also showing his range/efficiency on the perimeter as a scoring threat. He’s another 2026 prospect with WCDS for DII/DIII programs to get eyes on given his activity on the hardwood.

The locals in Concord are used to seeing stellar performances from a No. 18. It was the number he wore for Saturday’s event and Tyler kept his motor going all day at Carolina Courts. He is an efficient player who always keeps his heads up on the defensive end. He can switch on who he is defending and never lets who he is guarding out of his sight. Offensively, he can shoot the ball from long range and also attacks the rim with tenacity. Tyler can be described in many ways as a pure point guard. He played his middle school basketball at Princeton MS and will be part of a 2A Bulldogs team that finished 12-7 last season.

Camden had his smooth game on display for the entirety of Prep Hoops North Carolina Top 250. Offensively. Offensively, he displayed a High basketball IQ both in half and full court. In the half-court, he moved well without the ball. He displayed a smooth and effortless jump shot with range beyond the three-point line. In transition, he pushed the ball up using the hit ahead pass and if he was not slowed down in transition, he would routinely finish at the rim or create for teammates. Defensively, displayed active hands and a good understanding of where to be defensively.
