<p><strong>Childs Stock Continues to Soar in Perspectives Win</strong></p>

<p>The day started off with a monster performance from a senior playing the best basketball of his career in Perspectives [player_tooltip player_id='2217980' first='Phoenix' last='Childs']. He led his squad to a 73-54 victory over Riverside Brookfield. Played physical on the glass hit spot up threes, and got to the rim with his strength for 31 points and 8 rebounds. Another key transfer [player_tooltip player_id='2105200' first='Derrick' last='Dowdell'] had a nice outing as the strong bodied wing knocked in a pair of threes along with getting to the line en route to 16 points and 5 boards. Senior big man [player_tooltip player_id='2538867' first='James' last='Amison'] is still a prospect we are high on. He only scored 2 points, but was extremely impactful with his rim protection and rebounding grabbing 11 points (7 offensive) along with blocking a pair of shots. [player_tooltip player_id='2439310' first='[player_tooltip player_id='2382177' first='[player_tooltip player_id='2375418' first='Tristan' last='']' last='']' last='Howard'] caught our attention as a four man that was efficient with his touches netting 6 points.</p>

<p>The 1-2 guard duo for Riverside Brookfield did their part in the win. Class of 2026 shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2105396' first='Cameron' last='Mercer'] is a smooth scorer which he showcased in this game on slashes, post ups, and getting to the line for 19 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2415420' first='Danny' last='Loftus'] is a crafty senior scoring guard that did his damage in the paint scoring on sweeping layups and living at the charity stripe for 18 points and 9 rebounds.</p>

<p><strong>Without Frontline Marist Still Impresses as Wings Put on Show</strong></p>

<p>Marist didn't have top 5 junior [player_tooltip player_id='1845350' first='Stephen' last='Brown'] along with football star [player_tooltip player_id='1766478' first='Achillies' last='Anderson'] on their frontline, but it didn't matter as they rolled 62-31 over Hyde Park. Class of 2026 6'3” shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2341349' first='Rokas' last='Zilys'] was very impressive in the first half as he poured in mid-range jumpers over and over again. Moves well off the ball and has a soft touch finishing game as he netted 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Top 20 junior [player_tooltip player_id='1552436' first='Karson' last='Thomas'] is a power wing that scored effectively from all three levels. Attacked with strength finishing in the paint along with knocking in tough turnarounds in the mid-range and a pair of threes for 18 points and 7 rebounds. Senior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2375627' first='Marquis' last='Vance'] is an x-factor player that brings a junk yard dog mentality on the glass and was a force defensively. He had 5 points and 5 rebounds. Their floor general [player_tooltip player_id='1845365' first='Adoni' last='Vassilakis'] finished with 6 points and a pair of assists in the win.</p>

<p>Senior wing Kamrin King flashed for Hyde Park with a pair of super smooth threes draining them with a clean shot along with a nice mid-range jumper for 8 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2540031' first='Kyle' last='Ward-Owens'] is a junior sharp shooter who went 2-6 from deep with a clean looking shot for 6 points.</p>

<p><strong>Thompson Takes Over and Pettigrew Drops Double Double vs Kankakee</strong></p>

<p>Next up was Bolingbrook knocking off Kankakee by a final of 54-50. This matched up one of the elite sophomores in the state [player_tooltip player_id='2323624' first='Davion' last='Thompson'] against the #1 ranked junior [player_tooltip player_id='2105360' first='Lincoln' last='Williams']. In the second half when they needed him most Thompson took over for Bolingbrook. He is such a dynamic scorer off the bounce with crafty takes and nifty footwork getting in the lane for scores one after another along with getting to the line finishing with 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Big man [player_tooltip player_id='1385301' first='JT' last='Pettigrew'] is a Valpo commit that an efficient double double of 13 points and 11 rebounds. He was a force on the interior.</p>

<p>For Kankakee [player_tooltip player_id='2105360' first='Lincoln' last='Williams'] definitely had his moments. The long and rangy wing had some explosive moves off the bounce getting to the rack. He attacked the hoop with force on euro steps and dunks. Pushed it in transition consistently for scores netting 19 points and 8 rebounds.</p>

<p><strong>Kenwood Edges Past Warren as Sophomore Stars Each Notch 17 Points</strong></p>

<p>This was the marquee matchup of the day between sophomore superstars [player_tooltip player_id='2125612' first='Devin' last='Cleveland'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2382290' first='Jaxson' last='Davis']. It was incredibly close game throughout with Kenwood winning 61-58. While all the hype was about the sophomores it was a senior transfer from Phillips in [player_tooltip player_id='1385290' first='Amari' last='Edwards'] who stole the show. The point guard went 6-6 from three finishing with 26 points. His shooting was absolutely lights out from three and mid-range. Inside [player_tooltip player_id='2321397' first='TJ' last='Seals'] was a monster on the glass. He had 8 points and 15 rebounds. The Johnson Prep transfer is an undersized post that is providing Kenwood everything they need on the glass with his high motor and long arms. Cleveland got his when they needed it. Long and lanky point guard had several creative finishes in the fourth quarter. Also got to the line and hit a three in his 17 point outing to go with 5 rebounds along with 4 dimes.</p>

<p>Warren sophomore floor general [player_tooltip player_id='2382290' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] has such an advanced feel for the game. High level passer that made those around him better as he was setting everyone up putting the ball on a tee for them to score. As a scorer himself he did his damage in the paint on spinning layups and euro steps for 17 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals. Under the radar big man Zach Ausburn caught our attention as a broad shouldered post that went for a double double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='2437515' first='Jack' last='Wolf'] got off to a fast start for Warren as a sharp shooter from three along with mixing in mid-range jumpers off pull ups for 12 points and 7 rebounds.</p>

<p><strong>DePaul Prep Wins With Balance vs California Power Mater Dei</strong></p>

<p>Massive win for DePaul Prep over California power Mater Dei 57-50. It was a balanced effort for DePaul Prep with four guys finishing in double figures. [player_tooltip player_id='1385297' first='Jonas' last='Johnson'] was huge in the win as the skilled face up four man stretched knocking down a trio from deep en route to 15 points and 6 rebounds. Their backcourt was rock solid with [player_tooltip player_id='1435692' first='Rykan' last='Woo'] (14 points) and [player_tooltip player_id='1545133' first='Makai' last='Kvamme'] (15 points) each having moments of brilliance taking over for spurts. [player_tooltip player_id='1385311' first='Robert' last='Walls'] came up with a key rebound late along with living at the foul line for 10 points.</p>

<p>Nevada commit Blake Davidson led the way for Mater Dei. Skilled post that was efficient with his soft touch around the hoop. Like what he showed as a passer and all-around front court playmaker. He had 13 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. Luke Barnett is a 2026 sharp shooter with unlimited range that struggled a bit from deep, but still managed 14 points with his shot making and athleticism. Demarcus Henry might have been their most intriguing player. Long and rangy frame on the wing with slick handles and impacted defensively. He had 11 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.</p>

<p><strong>Homewood Flossmoor Continues to Roll as They Knock Off Whitney Young</strong></p>

<p>HF moved to 6-0 on the young season with an 80-71 win against Whitney Young. Everything was clicking in this game for the Vikings. Their star Wofford commit [player_tooltip player_id='1774274' first='Jayden' last='Tyler'] got it going in transition with his lightning-fast speed tacking up 26 points while also going 3-4 from beyond the arc. On the wing [player_tooltip player_id='2617362' first='Brent' last='Taylor'] had a big game as he dropped 19 points on an efficient 8-10 from the field. Was aggressive getting to the rack and getting on the glass. Lewis commit [player_tooltip player_id='2105169' first='Arden' last='Eaves'] through down a pair of massive dunks en route to 8 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2617349' first='Aiden' last='Derose'] is a senior that can really shoot it from distance along with stuffing the stat sheet for 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 dimes.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1385300' first='Antonio' last='Munoz'] played with a high-motor on both ends of the floor for the Dolphins. The top uncommitted senior in the state threw down several massive alley-oops, snatched rebounds in traffic, and got downhill with spin moves for 22 points and 11 rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='1552475' first='Marquis' last='Clark'] had his Kyrie Irving creative layup package working as he poured them in all game long with his crisp handles as the #2 junior in the state notched 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Rock solid senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1545124' first='Damajay' last='Richardson'] passed it well and brought toughness with 11 points and 3 dimes. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2532358' first='Zaire' last='Green'] had a nice fall and showed he could play on the big stage going 3-6 from beyond the arc for 13 points along with 5 boards.</p>

<p><strong>Simeon Starting Five Shine in Win over Chaminade in Front of Derrick Rose</strong></p>

<p>The [program_tooltip program_id='2076046' first='Wolverines' last=''] had a lot going on Saturday night with a ceremony at the end of the 1<sup>st</sup> quarter honoring Derrick Rose along with another giving props to legendary head coach Robert Smith at the half. Then they had a game against St. Louis power Chaminade. In the contest they came out and played at a high level winning 58-54. Strong game from their top prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2617353' first='Andre' last='Tyler'] who had his most focused game we have seen in his career as the scored from all three levels and was engaged on both ends with 16 points. Long and rangy senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1439013' first='Julien' last='Doyle'] had a strong showing shooting it well and impacting defensively netting 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Also on the wing [player_tooltip player_id='2323264' first='Kassidy' last='Nelson'] had a nice game scoring 13 points on 4-5 shooting with his slashing and improved shooting. [player_tooltip player_id='1385305' first='Lorenzo' last='Shields'] did a nice job running the show along with pouring in mid-range shots for 11 points and 5 dimes.</p>

<p>Chaminade was led by Jahadi White Jr and [player_tooltip player_id='1873523' first='Jamison' last='White']. Jahidi is a wide bodied five that mauls on the interior carving out space for scores inside while also showing more touch from three than we remembered as he had 14 points and 6 boards along with 3 emphatic blocks. Jamison is a strong bodied forward that can handle it, rebounded at a high level, and flashed a jumper with 15 points and 11 rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='1446576' first='Jonny' last='Jordan'] Jr pushed the pace with his speed and playmaking feel at the point netting 11 points and 5 dimes.</p>

<p><strong>Duncanville Shows They are One of Nation's Best in Finale vs Rich Township</strong></p>

<p>In the final game of the night Duncanville out of Texas showed why they are a national power winning 85-67 against Rich Township. They have four really high level players beginning with TCU commit [player_tooltip player_id='1222243' first='Kayden' last='Edwards'] as the lefty shot it well from distance and used his long strides in transition finishing with 16 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2467614' first='Cam' last='Smith'] is a 2025 sleeper out of Texas as the southpaw has a projectable frame with shot making ability. In the 2027 class [player_tooltip player_id='2112009' first='Beckham' last='Black'] who is the younger brother of Orlando Magic guard [player_tooltip player_id='2631295' first='Anthony' last='Black'] displayed a high level passing feel along with a smooth all-around game. Christopher Hunt Jr put on a show with his three point shooting as the lefty combo lit it up for 16 points.</p>

Top 10 prospect who remains uncommitted had 24 points and double digit rebounds. Spinning layups, transition scores, and even hit a pair of threes. [player_tooltip player_id='2621194' first='Jayden' last='Williams'] opened eyes as he had a nose for the ball notching 11 points.</p>
