Last weekend, I stopped in to check out the Pro Insight Pop-Up Run. While many of the top players from both Washington and Oregon dropped in, there were also a handful of freshmen and sophomores looking to compete. Here are a few names from the 2027 and 2028 classes making some good impressions at the pop-up run.

Floyd showed a lot to like for a freshman playing with many of the top players in the PNW. He obviously has some size but he also showed some toughness and fight that isn't always there right away for young bigs. While he struggled to finish through some contact around the paint, he did a great job getting deep off the dribble and getting himself into spots where he was a threat. He's definitely a kid to watch who could get some good opportunities this winter at Ferris.

Breaux is a long wing with good reach and bounce who showed some flashes of his impact around the rim. He was best as a floater, crashing in on the glass, trailing plays, and making cuts to the middle off the ball. He also showed some defensive potential with contests and even getting his hands on some shots.

Another young wing with some length, Onishchenko had a tough time finishing through contact from the more mature players but did show some fascinating athleticism on a couple of finishes maneuvering around defenders. He also flashed some potential from behind the arc, burying a few corner threes. It was also nice to see him battle on the glass against bigger guys and stay aggressive around the paint.

Vialva's a quick, agile guard who was able to dart down lanes, exploit gaps in the defense and finish at the rim. He also showed some ability to pass out of pressure and remain calm in high-traffic areas. As a quick guard, he showed some confidence defensively to get up in ballhandlers and challenge them away from the hoop.
