WIBCA finished off an outsanding June for Breaux, whose recruiting should heat up in the next couple of months. The rising senior had the ball put in his hands as he played lead guard, initiating the offense and effectively putting the biscuit in the basket at all three levels. In a win over Roosevelt he started off knocking down a couple of threes, which then opened up the lane for some of his smooth glides to the hoop, where he used his length and athleticism to finish around the rim. A cool 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists on the final ledger.
With his length and athleticism, there are things on the court that Breaux can do that most others in the state cannot. The Wilsonville junior wing had a number of high-flying plays above the rim including rebounds out of his area and recovery blocked shots, but also was able to convert a number of smooth jumpers.
An explosive athlete, Breaux thrives attacking the basket, using his quickness and bounce to get to the rim with ease. A natural slasher, he plays with a sneaky feel for finding gaps in the defense and finishing in traffic. He also jumps well and competes on the glass, fighting for rebounds despite his position. Breaux adds value at the line as a solid free-throw shooter, making defenses pay for fouling. In the matchup against Team Progress
, he finished the game with a team-high 19 points.
A newcomer to the state last season, Breaux jumped right in at Centennial as a varsity contributor as a sophomore, ending the season averaging 14.5 points and 4.2 rebounds. The 6-foot-5 wing will change scenery to Wilsonville in 2025-26, where he figures to be an instant impact player with his length, athleticism, and upside as the Wildcats will once again be state title contenders. (JT)
Breaux was one of the top newcomers in the entire state at any level in 2024-25. Given his combination of length and athleticism that was well evident in individual workouts, the 6-foot-5 swingman really proved himself in actual game play with Centennial this season and is on the cusp of making it into the Top Ten. In addition to finishing at the rim, Breaux can also create off the dribble as well as hit open shots, and finished the year averaging 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 blocked shots.
Breaux is a long wing with good reach and bounce who showed some flashes of his impact around the rim. He was best as a floater, crashing in on the glass, trailing plays, and making cuts to the middle off the ball. He also showed some defensive potential with contests and even getting his hands on some shots.
