Hennig made his presence felt for the number one seed Wildcats. The 6-foot-7 guard was 7th in scoring average, tied for 5th in assists per game, and was just one block off of the tournament lead, with a tournament-high four blocks in one game. The sharpshooter only hit on three 3-pointers at The Dome, but was able to adjust and find a lot of success inside on both ends, and also made his mark at the foul line (11-for-12). He had a game-high 22 points against Glacier Peak to help Mount Si claim fourth-place.

Able to create space with long crossover, good footwork for step-back, and with his size it only takes a glimpse of space for him to feel open for the shot. Did a great job protecting the rim and being a big rebounder for them in their win over Lake Washington Tuesday. Hennig had several great outlets up the floor to get their transition game going and also showed some deft touch with a couple of controlled floaters in the lane.

Hennig showed plenty of potential last year for the 4A state champs, and now he comes into this season after adding a couple of inches and playing with Beauchamp Elite all spring and summer. He’s a solid outside shooter who showed solid IQ playing with some high-level guys, and he’ll enter this winter as one of Mount Si’s top guys.
