Paul VI & Mt. Carmel Scrimmage Report Pt.1

Young lead guard who showed he can run the show, sees the court and delivers the rock in transition or off of penetration and kick! He is an excellent passer who sets up plays with solid pull-up jumper. He will see stock rise as he extends range with consistency to beyond the arc.     Moving forward, we look at a player who continues to make visible strides within his progression, Mazari Brown is a long, fluid wing guard forward prospect with an intriguing blend of skill, athleticism, and overall potential. Browne is comfortable creating with the ball in his hands or finding success as a cutter. He's a willing passer with nice instincts as a playmaker. Browne penetrates well and finishes around the basket, but also displays the ability to knock down jumpers at a solid rate.     This young man brings so much value to the court to his team. Deserves more attention because you know what you are going to get from him. Playmaking guard that can score if needed, run the offense, make smart decisions on the court & impacts the game with ball hawking defensive intensity.     Next, we look at a player who consistently stood out through his unselfish, high-motor approach to the game, Mario is a tough, scrappy, well-rounded wing prospect with the ability to operate in various roles. Tatum can create, scoring in various ways, or simply filling in the gaps on both ends of the floor. He consistently makes the extra pass and does the dirty work. Tatum rebounds well for his size and knows how to make his presence felt defensively.     Wilson differs from his peers on this list as he has by far the most statewide notoriety. With that being said, there's another level of his game that has not been unlocked yet and with his long range potential, I believe he can take another jump and creep even further up the state rankings with improve perimeter shooting and ability to play multiple positions. Love his long term potential.     Next, we look at a player who possesses an enticing crossroads between productivity and long-term upside, Gage is a long, strong, athletic forward/post prospect who anchors the paint effectively on both ends of the floor. Howard finishes very well around the basket, displaying a nice blend of touch, footwork, and instincts. He does a great job of positioning himself to alter shots and secure rebounds defensively. Showed in the Paul VI Catholic he didn't mind playing big on both ends of the floor.     Finishing up, we look at a player who made a lasting impression with his impressive presence on the block, Junior is a strong, highly skilled post prospect with a massive frame and the ability to physically overwhelm opponents on both ends of the floor. Mancho possesses soft touch, excellent footwork, and sharp vision around the basket. He has great hands, which he uses to safely secure entry passes and rebounds. Junior can knock down midrange jumpers, but does most of his work from the low post.     Moving forward, we look at a player who seems to effortlessly fill it up in every type of setting, Antwan is a smart, crafty young guard prospect with the ability to produce from either backcourt position. Williams can score the ball in a variety of ways and apply constant, yet efficient pressure from all levels. He possesses a solid handle, quick first step, and good understanding of how to use jabs/fakes to create separation. A young two-way guard to keep an eye on next three years.     Next, we look at a player who consistently stood out through his unselfish, high-motor approach to the game, Harmony showed to be tough, scrappy, well-rounded wing prospect with the ability to operate in various different roles on both ends of the floor.
