Previous Rank: 36
-Tatum continues to climb the rankings because of the increased production at the defensive end of the floor. An athletic combo guard prospect that can lock up 1-3, he’s not only getting the stop but switching ends to get his team out in transition for an easy bucket on turnovers or long rebounds. He’s also scoring more consistently at the offensive end of the floor by turning down tough pull-ups in traffic that he used to take while mixing in higher-percentage looks off of movement to turn him into a more efficient offensive piece for an OLMC that has turned heads this winter.

Tatum is an all-around guard who does a little bit of everything. He makes a living from behind the arc as a 3 point marksman. He is very under control when he is on the move Tatum is a ball hawk on the defensive end using his talons to get steals. Tatum has a nose for the rim with the ability to score around the hoop. Colleges who need a scoring guard who can fill it up need to recruit Tatum!

Tatum was a consistent source of offense for Mt. Carmel during the first half of their win. Had a nice stretch of plays where he knocked down a 3, and converted a tough and-1 finish next to help swing momentum. He played some very good on-ball defense on a number of possessions against a team with high-level guard play. Had a very steady overall game for the team in a formidable win. Hit his open shots and played tough individual defense.

8p 1r vs DeMatha
-Was very effective down the stretch in a big win over DeMatha, hitting two 3s and a layup late to seal the game for OLMC. His ability to shift gears and get downhill while stretching the floor from beyond the arc makes him a valuable piece for this Cougar team.

Tatum has always excelled as a downhill driver but has added some vertical pop as well as consistent outside shooting to his bag. The explosive guard hit several tough shots from the perimeter, finished with an impressive 1-handed tomahawk in transition to punctuate a steal, and mixed it up a bit defensively in the loss. The junior combo guard finished with 15p 2a on 56% shooting from the floor.
