The Holy Cross pledge put together arguably his best performance of his high school career and that was without going for 15 or more points. Instead, the BCL first-teamer dazzled with his playmaking as a distributor as he reached double-digit assists, including the game-winning lob to a streaking Junior Mancho Junior Mancho 6'9" | PF Our Lady of Mount Carmel School | 2027 State MD in overtime to win back-to-back MIAA crowns. His precision with pocket passes after high ball screens, drive-and-dumps to bigs in the dunker’s spot as well as his court vision in the open floor were all instrumental in not only flirting with a triple-double, but also securing the win. Wilson finished with a packed stat line of 12 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds.

As usual, the Mount Carmel scoring load was evenly distributed throughout, but it was Wilson who led the winning effort over Boys’ Latin with 12 points. The 6-foot-4 combo guard is effective at using his quick burst and lengthy stride and wingspan on drives to finish around the cup. Mount Carmel will faceoff against a pesky Glenelg Country group with a stable of guards who can make things tough for others with their defensive scheme. It’ll be interesting to see the adjustments that will be made from the previous meeting.

Tristen put together one of his most complete performances of the season and finished with 20+ while putting constant pressure on the defense. He was effective in every phase of the game. He scored easy baskets in transition and converted tough finishes in the halfcourt when the game slowed down. The jumper was falling as he confidently stepped beyond the arc and knocked down multiple threes without hesitation. His feel for when to attack versus when to let the game come to him stood out all night. This was a statement outing that reminded everyone in the gym why he is already locked in as a Division I commit.

It was a big night for the Holy Cross pledge last night for multiple reasons. The first being that the Cougars are still without the services of their starting point guard Samartine Hill, which means Wilson’s looked upon to be the primary playmaker or initiator on the ball. While he’s at his best playing alongside paint-touching guards such as Hill, Wilson has shown steady growth over the last month while scoring at an efficient clip, becoming more aware of his gravity on drives to open others around the floor. His anticipation, decision-making, and accuracy on deliveries off the live dribble has improved as has his leadership early this season as he steps in as the true alpha of this Mount Carmel team. He led his group with 18 points and a handful of key plays down the stretch to secure the win.

Wilson is a dynamic guard who has the ability to make a highlight play in a matter of seconds. He is effective in the open floor and is a threat to finish above the rim whenever he has a head of steam on the attack. Wilson shows that he can score from behind the arc and has no issue creating separation off the bounce to get his shot off. He has a complete game and does a nice job stuffing the stat sheet. Wilson should be a priority for division one programs.

Tristen is making another jump in the rankings as this time he cracks the top 15. Well-rounded guard that has found his rhythm as a combo guard. He can run the offense and find his teammates for good shots, or create for himself and score the ball from any level. Tristen shoots the ball with a smooth form and has upped his decision-making ability when it comes to shooting or making a play. You can see how much better he makes his team, very comfortable with Tristen having the ball in his hands. Only takes makeable shots which puts his efficiency through the roof when factoring his low-turnover numbers. His recent play this summer has got him up our PH charts again.

-A player that we’ve been higher than the consensus on for awhile, Wilson has the explosive skillset that should make college coaches that are on the fence commit to recruiting. He can hit shots from all three levels, gets to the rim whenever he wants, can guard 1-3, has great athletic tools, and has really boosted his play-making ability. The latter was the biggest swing skill that I think should really captivate college coaches as he turns crosscourt drives into the paint into open 3s for teammates. With the keys to the kingdom at the helm of a very good OLMC group, I would be surprised to not see his college interests boom this weekend.

Tristen Wilson Tristen Wilson 6'4" | SG Mt. Carmel | 2026 State MD was outstanding for Mt. Carmel today. Tristen had a handful of tough takes finishing through contact, and he got to the rim when he wanted to. He did a great job getting downhill and not shying away from contact. One of Tristen’s best skills is how consistently he gets to the line, and he did that well today. Tristen had a combined 39 points and 9 rebounds in two games for Mt. Carmel.

-Our scouts continue to come away impressed by Wilson’s ability to make plays for himself or others in the halfcourt as he blends in assists with buckets of his own throughout the game. Armed with an explosive first step and an improved handle that allows him to pass off a live dribble with ease with either hand– Wilson is constantly breaking down his matchup to force defensive rotations that give his teammates clean looks at the rim. Love the way he uses his athleticism to collect steals and deflections, providing good on-ball defense while also keeping his head up to intercept passes as a roving guard that has earned himself more of a leash to make such plays on the defensive end of the floor.
