Cole offers another physical, wing-forward option for Mound-Westonka alongside [player_tooltip player_id='1585944' first='Max' last='Kraay']. He's someone who plays bigger than his size due to his strong frame and explosiveness, and it helped him control the glass and finish at a high level inside. Cole did a nice job of earning second chance opportunities on the offensive glass, and opening up easy looks inside with his off-ball movement. Keeps the game simple and takes what the defense gives him. His passing vision and calmness on the ball helped his team consistently break Minneapolis North's press and come away with a win.

After missing the first three weeks due to football, Cedric made his return to the hardwood on Sunday and immediately stood out. The 2026 point guard plays with advanced change of speed, constantly keeping defenders guessing on when he's going to attack, pull-up for three, or swing the ball. His deep shooting range forces defenders to guard him tight beyond the arc, and he excels at shaking his initial defender to get into the paint and create. Had a ton of kick-out passes to open shooters leading to easy points for his team, and also showed the ability to finish through contact inside. Led his team to a pair of wins.

Ganden looks set for a strong senior year at Mankato East. He was the only player I saw all day who had any success sticking in front of [player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'], which is even more impressive when you consider he stands at 6'5. Ganden has that type of defensive versatility to defend just about anywhere on the floor, while also possessing the offensive skill-set to match. Gosch has shooting touch beyond the arc, but was at his best attacking and using his strength to finish inside. Showed a quick spin move to shake his defender on the way to the rim.

Marcus didn't shoot the ball well in the first half, but responded in the second and came up big down the stretch to lead his team past Mound-Westonka. Over the last 1:20, Marcus drained a tough three to give his team the lead, and then hit 3 of 4 free throws down the stretch to close out the game. He's a shifty guard who can create his own shots with ease, having no problem creating separation for a pull-up jumper. Looks like the type of player who could go off for 30+ on multiple occasions this season as he has loads of confidence, and seems to have the green light to attack.

Johanes continues to show why he could be in for a breakout senior season at Lakeville North. North graduated a lot of their top players from last season, and after playing primarily JV as a junior, Johanes could step up to fill in some of that lost production. The 2025 wing is an athletic slasher who excels at getting into the paint, able to elevate for dunks when given space, or play off two feet and finish with touch over length. Against East Ridge he did a great job of cutting without the ball to open up good looks inside, and finished at a high percentage around the rim.

Breck graduated their two primary ball handlers from last season, but Muaath looks ready to step up as his team's floor general. He helped lead his team to a win over Totino-Grace in their final fall league game, utilizing his quickness to make plays on both ends of the floor. I really like the way he constantly pressures the ball defensively, and doesn't back down from a challenge. Against a team with a pair of D1 offered guards, he was going out and working to put them under pressure. Offensively he has the quick burst to find a small gap in the defense, and get through it to get to the rim and finish.

Tyler helped to lead Chaska past Richfield with a strong performance on Sunday afternoon. He did a great job of following up his own shots, scoring three put-backs off of his own misses in the first half alone. Showcased good change of speed to get into the lane, and a quick second jump to go right back up and tip-in his own misses. Tyler does a nice job of playing off two feet inside, allowing him to finish on balance through contact, or pivot and kick it out if a scoring opportunity isn't there. Tyler sees the floor well out on the perimeter, and can zip in passes to cutting teammates, or throw cross-court passes to an open shooter when he catches a defender out of position.
