The season is less than a month away and scrimmages are starting up as soon as this weekend. For a different type of season preview, I wanted to find one "X-Factor" in each of Kentucky's districts for this season. Here are 64 X-Factors for the 24-25 season, one for district in the state.

Manual is one of the schools that was hit really hard by graduation. They still have [player_tooltip player_id='1783054' first='Malachi' last='Coleman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2115231' first='Justice' last='Decker'] but their depth took a big hit and the Crimson will miss guys like Ryan Shene who did the dirty work for them last season. Enter McGee. With good size and the ability to knock down shots or attack the rim, Daeshawn can score when needed but his greatest value this season is likely to be on defense and rebounding for Manual.

Dillingham is the returning Regional player of the year but I think he has potential to have even more impact as a Senior, even if his actual scoring numbers could slip a little. While the St. X roster is loaded with talent, Dillingham's ability to attack off ball screens and facilitate for teammates could be the separator for his team in the 7th region. On another note, Louisville is full of good guards and Chance is going to have the opportunity to guard big time point guards every night. With his two-way skills, look for Dillingham to make a huge impact on both ends of the court.

Most may see the name [player_tooltip player_id='2634228' first='Thomas' last='Hornek'] and ask "who?". That's due in large part to Hornek only playing half the season for the Rocks last year. I believe Thomas transferred into Trinity after the season was underway. With his ability to score around the bucket or stretch the floor with some shooting, Hornek is a solid option that helps the Rocks to be able to play inside-out with fellow forward [player_tooltip player_id='1144955' first='Julius' last='Edmonds']. Keep an eye out for the rising Junior.

Cash was a good player for Ballard last season but transferred to Eastern this summer and is likely to have a lot more opportunities to make an impact as a Junior. Whitehead should be one of the main options for Eastern and could see a huge difference in his shooting and scoring numbers this season with his bigger role. It doesn't hurt to have his dad sitting on the bench with the Eagles either. A former Louisville Cardinal, Whitehead's dad can make a big impact for the entire Eastern roster with his mentorship as well as his on court skill work and development. Cash is a sleeper for the biggest stock booster of the upcoming season if all goes to plan for him.
