Coleman gets overlooked in Louisville but he gets numbers consistently. Malachi is both quick and fast and has the ability to score around the rim or from range. He needs to get more comfortable as a half court facilitator but he has the tools to be a really good point/combo guard at the college level.

Manual is one of the bigger surprises in the state this season and Malachi Coleman Malachi Coleman 5'9" | SG DuPont Manual | 2025 State KY is their leader. A very quick guard, Malachi excels at putting the ball on the floor and getting into the paint where he can finish or distribute.

Malachi had been incorrectly placed in our 2024 rankings but we have now remedied that mistake and he starts at 44th overall in his proper class. Coleman is a high IQ scorer who is good at getting to his spots and being able to score over bigger defenders. A well rounded prospect, Coleman will have a chance to impress with a Manual team that had a really good summer.

Coleman was actually put in the 2024 rankings for the last few months so we’re remedying that error in this update. Malachi has all the IQ and skill level that you’d expect from a coach’s son. Capable of taking and making tough shots, Coleman is one of the more underrated prospects in Louisville.

Coleman missed his Sophomore season with an injury but had a big Junior campaign and showed that he should be mentioned amongst the best 2024 guards in the sixth region. Malachi has been playing more as a point guard in the last year or so and should be a full time point guard next season with the transfer of Damone King Damone King 6'0" | PG DeSales | 2024 State KY to DeSales.
