The season is less than a month away and scrimmages are starting up as soon as this weekend. For a different type of season preview, I wanted to find one "X-Factor" in each of Kentucky's districts for this season. Here are 64 X-Factors for the 24-25 season, one for district in the state.

Great Crossing should roll through their district yet again this season but in order to get back to Rupp Arena (and achieve their goal of winning it all), the Warhawks need more quality depth. Last year, GC had a great starting lineup but short rotation. This season could be more of the same if players like Cooper and [player_tooltip player_id='2569327' first='Graham' last='Swartz'] don't provide quality depth. Cooper has really improved over the last year and can play either guard spot. "T2" is a quality player who can be a starter or 6th man for the Warhawks this season and take some miles off of [player_tooltip player_id='939114' first='Junius' last='Burrell'], [player_tooltip player_id='2091803' first='LJ' last='Holman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1110323' first='Vince' last='Dawson'] in the backcourt.

When Melo Boone went from Douglass to Woodford, they probably didn't expect to get Jenkins back as part of the trade. With Boone gone and [player_tooltip player_id='1344606' first='Aveion' last='Chenault'] not playing basketball (from all indications) the Broncos will need Juante ready to contribute immediately for them to stay relevant in the region. Their district is absolutely brutal and one of the top teams in the region won't even make the regional tournament.

Lexington Catholic will be much younger than usual this season and that includes some freshmen seeing major PT for the Knights. One of those players is [player_tooltip player_id='2532041' first='Benjamin' last='Warren']. I was told to expect him to be in their rotation, anywhere from 6th to 8th man. For Catholic, that's very rare. They'll need a steady hand at the PG spot and Warren could provide just that for them.

Asher has been a varsity contributor the last two years and could be a breakout candidate this season. A good athlete at about 6'5, Asher can play above the rim on offense and is capable of elevating over defenders for contested rebounds. Madison Central will be down more than usual this season but if Asher and some of his fellow Juniors can raise their games a level, the Indians can remain relevant in the discussion of 11th region contenders.
