have been steering the ship so far for the Warhawks. T2 has been averaging 17 points per game after waiting for his opportunity the last few years. If he continues with that sort of production, in school states need to take notice.

Many will expect Great Crossing to take a big step back after losing most of their offense to graduation but T2 and the returning players for the Warhawks have other plans. Cooper is a player who can score the ball or create open looks for teammates. He’s grown and gotten much stronger in the last couple of years and is ready to make an impact in his Senior season.

With so much senior talent graduating from the state championship squad, this allows for some new names to enter the spotlight. Cooper is one of those new names and he impressed me with his perimeter shot-making ability, hitting a handful of catch and shoot shots from the corner. Cooper also scored off a couple DHO actions and found success when he was decisive with how he wanted to attack. Looking for Cooper to get stronger with the ball in his hands and make quicker decisions, he has the talent to be one of the breakout seniors in the greater Lexington area this winter.

Great Crossing should roll through their district yet again this season but in order to get back to Rupp Arena (and achieve their goal of winning it all), the Warhawks need more quality depth. Last year, GC had a great starting lineup but short rotation. This season could be more of the same if players like Cooper and Graham Swartz don’t provide quality depth. Cooper has really improved over the last year and can play either guard spot. “T2” is a quality player who can be a starter or 6th man for the Warhawks this season and take some miles off of

“T2” has improved a ton in the last year and it doesn’t hurt that he’s grown a few inches as well. Cooper, like Swartz, is going to have to carve out a role for himself at Great Crossing this year but he’s capable of helping them early and often either at the point or off the ball.

“T2” makes a big move from 83rd to 48th after a growth spurt as well as an increase in confidence. Cooper was in the middle of a growth spurt the first time I saw him last year and was going through a clumsy phase. Now almost a year later, the guard looks like a smooth playmaker and shooter whose best basketball is all ahead of him. Don’t sleep on Cooper being a helpful rotation player for the Warhawks this winter.
