About Colt

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a shooting guard that likes to shoot the ball from deep but I can also get to the basket when needed and finish through contact. I use my quickness and speed to my advantage to throw defenders off while I’m dribbling the ball, I may throw them off with my eyes too. I can also get to my spots and pull up a quick jump shot.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is to win every single game and as soon as I step on the basketball court it is over for my opponent. I take every game seriously and take advantage of every minutes because eventually the ball will stop bouncing. My personality is laid back but I am also hard on myself and others, I like to do things the right way/my way and I like to take charge.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in AAU.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed more of a self centered type of skill only when I need to use it. I don’t depends on others to score anymore and I do it myself. I like to show leadership so my teammates can follow what I am doing. Teamwork is essential in games and I like to get everyone involved whether that’s scoring or making the extra pass.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced some challenges off and on the court, some on the court are me being a smaller guard and making sure that I am scrappy/tuff. I want to make sure that the player I’m guarding, hates me when I’m guarding them. Off the court one of my challenges includes my family splitting up.

What type of college are you looking for?

The type of colleges I’m looking for are any college that offers great school programs and winning teams. I would love to go to a school that is a Christian school but still offers a very high level of basketball to play. With that said I’m open to any college or university.

Colt was one of the best shooters at camp and has clearly started to get stronger heading into his Sophomore season. Delimpo has an opportunity to be a heavy rotation player for a Great Crossing team that needs scoring after losing a ton off the state title roster. Colt had a strong day on Saturday for sure.

Colt is a sharpshooter that has a high motor and good shot IQ. He likes to shoot from deep with accuracy and that helps him create space for others. He draws attention from multiple angles on the perimeter and that allows him to move the ball inside. He is constantly in motion looking to get open for good shots, with the IQ of when to get them off in time. A quick defender that looks to get ball handlers bothered.

Delimpo was the best shooter in the gym. He constantly moves off the ball and has a quick release, making him a nightmare to defend. He caught fire in the quarterfinals of the championship bracket, making four consecutive shots from deep to put the game away.
