You watch Hereford compete and come away more impressed each time. The Beloit Memorial junior is a fierce competitor, a jet with the basketball and a player who makes plays with his quickness, anticipation and skill on both ends of the court. He went off for 28 points in a 57-55 loss on Wednesday evening, knocking down three triples, scoring with his verticality and speed at the rim, and getting to the free throw line four different times. Hereford is an explosive lead guard with deep shooting range, the ability to cross over on defenders and strong court vision to find spot-up shooters outside the arc. He owns NCAA Division I offers from Northern Illinois and Western Illinois, with more schools figuring to follow suit over the next year.

It's been a somber and exceptionally sad few weeks for Davis Jr., as he lost his father, Chris Davis Sr., suddenly a few weeks ago to a heart attack. He was set to attend DME Academy in Delafield, but after the death of his father, Chris opted to return home to live with his mother in Sun Prairie. He is enrolled at Sun Prairie East for his senior season. He had 27 points in a 57-55 win for his team on Wednesday and flashed his usual aggressiveness on the offensive end of the court. A good athlete with size, strength and skill, Davis is very difficult to keep out of the lane and once there, he scores at a very high level. He is a scoring machine in the open court, and plays with extreme confidence once he gets the ball in his hands. Davis can score with his back to the basket, from outside the arc, and off the bounce. Simply put, he's an absolute handful to defend. His 40.8 ppg average as a junior at Sun Prairie West speaks to that fact.

Every time you looked up Wednesday, Luchetti was doing a pull-up on the rim. The emerging junior forward had dunk after dunk in the Premier Fall League. And those slams were not all in the open court. He was able to take one step and throw it down in a half-court setting as well. Much more than just a high flyer, Luchetti also plays with a high skill level. He can make mid-range jump shots and is a beast on the glass. His mobility and verticality stand out the most as he is able to guard on the perimeter and in the paint. Look for Luchetti to have a monster sophomore campaign for Monona Grove this winter.

Stremlow saw spot minutes for the varsity squad at Verona as a freshman. That figures to change in 2024-25 as the maturing wing prospect is much more confident in his game. He now is able to positively impact a contest with his scoring ability, his high-energy defense and his overall court awareness. He had 19 points in one game and 14 in another on Wednesday as he was able to make mid-range jumpers off the dribble, get all the way to the basket and earn chances at the foul stripe. A good athlete with size and a strong build, Stremlow is a slashing wing who figures to fit in nicely with the talented core of returning players for a Verona squad expected to contend for the title in the Big Eight Conference under coach Curtrel Robinson.

Crawford is a returning starter for Sun Prairie West and is coming off a strong junior season where he averaged 13.9 points and 7.6 rebounds. He has good size and is a cerebral player who makes winning plays for himself and his teammates. His biggest presence might be on the defensive end of the floor as he has the length, mobility and size to make things tough on the opposition. Crawford is most comfortable on offense either running his team or taking the ball to the hoop and scoring. He gets to the foul line on a regular basis and is a very competitive player on the glass and in transition. Crawford earned second-team all-Big Eight Conference honors as a junior and is a major returning piece for first-year Sun Prairie West coach Jay Swanson.

Forbes isn't a huge scorer, but he is a huge presence. At 6-foot-9 and with a 7-foot-3 wingspan, Forbes patrols the lane with authority. He can block/alter shots and score near the basket. The big man funs the floor well and isn't afraid to get on the floor for a loose ball or compete with physicality around the hoop. Forbes is a bit of a project, particularly on offense, but there is no denying his size and reach. And with a strong work ethic and desire to improve, his best basketball is ahead of him. Forbes averaged 6.4 points and 5.9 rebounds as a junior at McFarland and teams with 6-foot-8 sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2140913' first='Eli' last='Krueger'] to give the Spartans a huge frontline combination for the 2024-25 season.

Wilson looks like a grown man on the court as his physique is exceptionally advanced for a junior in high school. And he utilizes that strength to overpower opponents off the dribble and score at the rim. A combination guard with exceptional ball handling skills, Wilson gets to the lane with regularity and either scores over defenders or kicks the ball out to shooters. He is a more than capable three-point shooter and a player with can finish above the rim in transition. Wilson is one of the top backcourt performers in the Big Eight Conference and a tough matchup for opponents because of his combination of size, strength, skill and basketball IQ.
