About Tavian
Expert Analysis
Mark Miller | Prep Hoops Scout
Crawford is a returning starter for Sun Prairie West and is coming off a strong junior season where he averaged 13.9 points and 7.6 rebounds. He has good size and is a cerebral player who makes winning plays for himself and his teammates. His biggest presence might be on the defensive end of the floor as he has the length, mobility and size to make things tough on the opposition. Crawford is most comfortable on offense either running his team or taking the ball to the hoop and scoring. He gets to the foul line on a regular basis and is a very competitive player on the glass and in transition. Crawford earned second-team all-Big Eight Conference honors as a junior and is a major returning piece for first-year Sun Prairie West coach Jay Swanson.

Sun Prairie West is looking like one of the best teams in the state regardless of division, and Tavian adds additional depth to that roster. In the opening game of the day he was making an impact with his speed on the ball, able to turn the corner to get downhill and finish at the rim. Has some shot creation ability that he uses to get into his mid-range jumper, and I also liked his movements off the ball. Caught his man sleeping on a couple of occasions and was able to backdoor cut for easy lay-ups. At 6’2 with his athleticism he fits the mold physically as a next level prospect.
