[player_tooltip player_id='2341434' first='DJ' last='Hawkins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2470840' first='Josiah' last='Adamson'] check in as the top ranked Shooting Guards in the class. Hawkins will play his first season in the NEPSAC this winter at St. Thomas More, while Adamson should be a key piece in the backcourt at CATS Academy. Hawkins is a long prospect with an advanced offensive game and the ability to score at all three levels. Adamson is a power guard that does a great job of scoring in transition and making plays off the bounce. Both have already garnered interest from scholarship level programs and should be among the top underclassmen in New England this winter.

Whyte, who heads to Vermont Academy this fall, is a powerful and athletic guard that does a great job of attacking the rim off the bounce. The New Heights guard has the ability to make plays off the bounce, getting downhill and into the lane with ease, before finishing with power and authority at the rim. He's a terrific athlete, which is noticable in transition and on the defensive end of the floor. He's capable of playing above the rim, but also does a nice job of finishing with creativity in the paint. He has continued to develop his shot and is a consistent threat to knock down perimeter jumpers. Defensively, he's tough on the ball, using his strength and quickness to keep opposing ball handlers out of the paint. He does a good job of rebounding his position and can quickly turn defense into transition opportunities. He'll be a fun prospect to follow this winter in the NEPSAC.

Curtis, who spent the travel season with Team Spartans, is a big scoring guard that can play with or without the ball and score from all three levels. An impact player as a first year at Ellington, Curtis has seemingly taken another step in his development this off-season. He has good size for the position, impressive length, and a high basketball IQ. He's a consistent shot maker, showing the ability to make spot up jumpers from behind the arc or to create for himself in the mid-range off the bounce. Lately, he's done a good job of leveraging his shooting and attacking bad closeouts to finish at the rim. Defensively, he uses his length well and is active in passing lanes, leading to numerous deflections and steals. He received a scholarship offer from Radford in July and should be a prospect that continues to garner Division I attention down the road.

Pridgen, one of the more athletic underclass guards in the region, had a strong summer on the travel circuit with the Mass Rivals. A physical guard that knows how to play on both ends of the floor, Pridgen will be a key piece at Governor's Academy this winter. Right now, he thrives on the defensive end of the floor, taking full advantage of his athletic gifts. He's tough at the point of attack, physical with bigger opponents, and has the quickness laterally to stay in front of smaller guards. He's a good rebounder that can grab and go in transition, making high level plays in the open floor. A lefty, he does a good job of getting downhill off the bounce and finishing through contact at the rim. He's become a consistent threat to knock down shots from the perimeter and does a good job of running wide and spotting up in transition. The sophomore should take a big leap this year and could be an underclass standout in the NEPSAC.

Chapman, a big guard at Hamden Hall Country Day, plays with a scoring mindset on the offensive end of the floor and is a turnover generator on the defensive end. A good shooter, Chapman has nice positional size and length, which provides him with some versatility on the offensive end of the floor. He's comfortable shooting off the catch or dribble and does a nice job as a playmaker out of the trailer spot in transition. He's got a little wiggle off the bounce and does a good job of getting by the initial defender in isolation situations. Defensively, he's a terror in the passing lanes and does a good job of crowding the ball in the post. His combination of length and athleticism allows him to be a good rebounder on that end too. He should have a bigger role this winter at Hamden Hall and will be a prospect to monitor going foward.

Sangermano, one of the top underclassmen in the NHIAA, burst onto the scene as a first year at Salem. After a strong summer with the Mass Rivals, he's primer for a breakout season this winter and should be one of the better perimeter shooters in this class. While his top skill is his ability to shoot the ball, he's shown an increasing amount of skill and feel for the game with the ball in his hands. He does a good job of navigating ball screens, showing patience with his dribble and good floor vision when turning the corner. He's able to get downhill off the bounce and is a crafty scorer in the paint, finishing with either hand off either foot. Defensively, he's gritty, tough, and plays with a high IQ. He's a good on ball defender that doesn't give up the paint and is willing to sacrifice his body to take charges. He should be one of the top players in New Hampshire this winter and will be a prospect for college coaches to track going forward.
