Chapman, a big guard at Hamden Hall Country Day, plays with a scoring mindset on the offensive end of the floor and is a turnover generator on the defensive end. A good shooter, Chapman has nice positional size and length, which provides him with some versatility on the offensive end of the floor. He’s comfortable shooting off the catch or dribble and does a nice job as a playmaker out of the trailer spot in transition. He’s got a little wiggle off the bounce and does a good job of getting by the initial defender in isolation situations. Defensively, he’s a terror in the passing lanes and does a good job of crowding the ball in the post. His combination of length and athleticism allows him to be a good rebounder on that end too. He should have a bigger role this winter at Hamden Hall and will be a prospect to monitor going foward.

On offense, he can space the floor with a low-release jumper. Chapman can run the pick and roll as the handler and as the roll man. He can adjust his body well on finishes and makes smart decisions with the basketball at all times while playing under control and relaxed. On defense, Chapman will play the passing lanes turning his defense into easy offense. He rebounds on both ends of the court which results in winning possessions for his team. Chapman is already a strong connector at this point and is someone coaches should get to know quickly.
