Curtis, a junior wing out of Ellington High School, is a big time scorer that has done a lot of winning so far at the high school level. The 6’3″ wing can do a little bit of everything on the offensive end of the floor. He makes shots from behind the arc, can operate as a creator with the ball in his hands, and makes great decisions in transitions. He’s a two-way rebounder, defends up and down a position, and is consistently in the right spot in rotations. His ability to make the right play, the winning play, stands out when he’s on the floor.

Curtis, a sophomore wing at Ellington, has helped his team to a 17-0 record, currently ranking 1st in Division 4. A 20 point per game scorer, Curtis has had a breakout season, showing the ability to make plays for himself and others, while also showing improvements on the defensive end of the floor. He scores at all three levels, using his physical gifts and feel for the game to make good decisions with the ball in his hands. He has good vision as a passer, leverages his shooting as a driver, and can make plays as a scorer in the open floor. Defensively, he provides some versatility with his combination of size and length, and has had significant growth as a defensive rebounder. Ellington has relied on plenty of youth this winter and Curtis will look to keep the success going as the stat tournament begins shortly.

Curtis, who spent the travel season with Team Spartans, is a big scoring guard that can play with or without the ball and score from all three levels. An impact player as a first year at Ellington, Curtis has seemingly taken another step in his development this off-season. He has good size for the position, impressive length, and a high basketball IQ. He’s a consistent shot maker, showing the ability to make spot up jumpers from behind the arc or to create for himself in the mid-range off the bounce. Lately, he’s done a good job of leveraging his shooting and attacking bad closeouts to finish at the rim. Defensively, he uses his length well and is active in passing lanes, leading to numerous deflections and steals. He received a scholarship offer from Radford in July and should be a prospect that continues to garner Division I attention down the road.
