We released our updated Class of 2026 Prospect Rankings right at the end of June. That was a very busy period of time fresh off of the Charlie Hughes Showcase and heading into the July grassroots season. Due to the busy schedule at the time, we at Prep Hoops Indiana feel like our rankings content, generally some of our most popular, didn't get the attention that it deserves. Therefore, we will spend this quieter period in August revisiting our rankings content. First, we simply re-released the Class of 2026 Prospect Rankings themselves. Now, we will dive into more content including additional summer stock-risers, new names, under-the-radar Watch List prospects, and much more.

We have clearly been aware of Jones for awhile now as he is ranked as a Top 50 prospect, but it still has been more recent that he really burst onto the scene. He flew under-the-radar at South Bend Clay High School despite putting up big numbers as a sophomore. Now, since transferring to South Bend Riley High School, he will have a bit more of a spotlight. Jones is a dynamic playmaker with good strength and the ability to play through contact off of the dribble. He can finish in a variety of ways and simply has a knack for scoring the basketball. Coming off of a great summer with 5Star which culminated with a strong showing at the 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill.

There is no shortage of talent at Fort Wayne Wayne so some players simply have to wait their turn a bit to take over the reigns. However, Green staked his claim this spring and summer as one of the best Class of 2026 prospects in Fort Wayne. He will play a key rotation role at Fort Wayne Wayne this season for a Generals team that has won back-to-back Regional titles. The 6'2″ guard is a pure shot-maker with some shiftiness off of the dribble to create his own shot and the athleticism to elevate over his defender. Under-the-radar scoring threat that jumped from the Watch List to #71 in the class in our late June update.

This is another one that isn't truly a new name to us at Prep Hoops Indiana and has already been ranked as a Top 100 prospect in the state. However, we had the chance to get our eyes on the point guard more this spring and summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2399422' first='Darius' last='Garland Elite']. Rhodes consistently impressed with his ability to command the game as a smaller guard. He has a tight handle, plays off of ballscreens very well, and can make a variety of passes from a live dribble. Very good all-around playmaker that will play a big role in the backcourt this season for a Crown Point team that will likely be Top 10 in the state.

The physical tools are what standout immediately when watching this prospect from Mooresville High School. Elmore is 6'4" with a strong, athletic build that he uses to present a consistent matchup problem on the floor. He has enough ability as a right hand driver to take larger defenders off of the dribble while smaller defenders simply can't matchup with him around the basket. The borderline Top 100 prospect in the Class of 2026 should continue to make his name known into his junior season. Coming off of a good summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='2129012' first='Circle' last='City Shooters'].

In terms of long term potential, Tierney is a very intriguing prospect. He showed some real flashes throughout the summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2400093' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Tradition'] culminating in a strong showing at the 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill. At 6'8", Tierney moves around very well for his size. He can run the floor, operate on the roll, and get vertical as a rim protector defensively. As he continues to develop physically and get stronger his game could really take a leap to the next level. Don't be surprised to see him break into the Top 100 when our next update is released.

Horvath is a massive presence around the basket. Not only does he take up a lot of room on the block, but he displays good footwork for his size. He is a guy that you can throw it to in the post to get a bucket. The 6'8" center from Mishawaka Marian High School had a strong summer and should blossom into a significant role with the Knights this winter. In a class that doesn't necessarily have a ton of dominant size, Horvath will be a name to remember over the next couple of years.

One of the standouts for an [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] team that won the inaugural Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament and had a strong showing at the Grit Region Finals. The 6'4" forward is incredibly physical around the basket with the ability to play through contact and dominate on the glass. Newman-Nwodika plays with a non-stop motor which helps him overcome being a bit undersized in the front court. Really like his defensively versatility and toughness in the paint. There is some intriguing young talent at Pike High School right now and he is one who could really breakout this coming season.

There is a lot of young talent right now at Evansville Reitz High School. They feature one of the best Class of 2027 prospects in the country and a couple of other very intriguing rising juniors and seniors. Tolliver has some raw tools and elite athletic ability that make him one to watch over the next couple of years. He is tough in transition and has shown some ability as a slasher and right hand driver in the half court. Look for him to make some noise this season.
