Week three of the season I was able to get eyes on three games that brought my attention to five new faces:

Crafty four-year starting point guard that continues to blossom into a go to guy for Wood Memorial. Smooth offensive game that commands the offense from the lead guard spot as well as any player in the area. Physical frame with a quick first step that welcomes contact in the lane and has the ability to finish in a variety of different ways around the basket. Jump shot is coming around from the perimeter. Has developed into a guy that will knock open shots down and has become comfortable off the dribble in the midrange.

Standout Performance: 26 points in win vs Tecumseh

A strong, physical forward that impacted the game on both ends in Bedford North Lawrence win over #1 1A Bloomfield. Comfortable being a distributor on the perimeter, but his break and butter is battling down low where he is a high level rebounder and finishes with a soft touch around the basket. What stood out in his game was the vision and decision making when he had the ball fifteen feet and in. Comfortable passing out of double teams. Does a good job feeling where the defense is and reacting.

Standout Performance: 12 points | 5 rebounds | 6 assists in win vs Bloomfield

A savvy, versatile wing that can play all over the floor offensively. Showed the ability to initiate offense and distribute while still staying aggressive to score. Does a good job using his size and length to play over the top of the defense. Confident shooter off the catch with a smooth stroke. Isn't the quickest player on the floor, but was able to use the angles well to get to his spots and make plays for himself as well as others.

Got my first eyes on Boonville's [player_tooltip player_id='2140326' first='Bradyn' last='Egli'] Friday night in a win over county rival Tecumseh. The athletic combo guard was all over the floor making plays on both ends. Aggressive defender that was active in passing lanes looking to turn defense into offense. Rebounded his position well. Showed the ability to play with or without the ball in his hands. Confident downhill driver with athleticism that really pops. Capable shooter off the catch that can get hot in a hurry.

A skilled forward with good length and size that can do a lot of different things on the floor. Versatile defender that's agile enough to be able to switch onto smaller players while being physical enough to handle bigs on the block. Rebounds at a high level outside of his area while playing a high motor. Offensively he got most of his off of the offensive glasses, but possess a soft touch with his jump shot that stretches out to the three-point line.
