Today we begin a late summer trek through the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association sectionals, starting with Division 1, Sectional 1.

Overview:
A loaded sectional. Tops teams from the Fox Valley Association, Big Rivers and Wisconsin Valley conferences will slug it out for a single berth in the state tournament. Looking at this list, there are three or four teams worthy of playing at the Kohl Center, but with the current 4-4-4-4-4 setup the WIAA utilizes just one will play on the big stage. Appleton North is still young, but the kids who started and played a ton of minutes as freshmen are now juniors. And the Lightning also boast a talented senior in
