Jaydon Awe is one of the better kept secrets in Wisconsin high school basketball. He’s a star player at Division 5 Pacelli located in Stevens Point; home of Sam Hauser (Boston Celtics) and Joey Hauser (Ontario Clippers). As a sophomore, he averaged 17.4 pts, 16 reb, 2.8 ast, 1.9 stl, and 5 blk per game. Simply put, he fills up the stat sheet and makes his impact felt all over the court. Standing at 6’9″/6’10” and playing at a Division 5 school has its pros and cons, but nevertheless, Awe was a monster on the boards and as a defender last year. He had 7 games with 20+ rebounds and 3 games with 10+ blocks, including a quintuple-double of 18 pts, 13 reb, 10 ast, 11 stl, and 10 blk. Awe is raw and a developmental project for programs. You can’t teach his size. The shot isn’t there yet and the handle continues to develop, but he’s a prospect to monitor these next two seasons.

Jaydon has been putting up video game numbers as just a sophomore for Pacelli. He heads into the postseason having averaged 17.5 points and 16.4 rebounds per game over 24 games, helping lead his team to a 21-3 record. He’s a big, strong, and athletic forward, who at 6’8 runs the floor really well. Awe is a rebounding machine with a high work rate on the glass, and also a quick second leap to go right back up for his own missed shots and tip them back in. He’s still a pretty raw prospect, but his physical tools allow him to dominate at the Division 5 level.
