On Friday night, nearly 200 teams from across the Midwest and beyond came to Indiana for the annual Prep Hoops Circuit Region Finals. Fast forward less than 48 hours and on Sunday afternoon only three teams remained and were crowned champions after a spring and summer full of competition. As always, our team of scouts had boots on the ground coverage from the opening tip-off until the final buzzer. Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops and that was on fully display throughout this great weekend of basketball. More recap content including all-tournament teams, stock-risers, and much more will continue to come out over the next few days. However, for now, let's highlight our three champions and recap the title games from Sunday afternoon.

15u - [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 67 Team Robinson 63

The 15u matchup between these two teams from the Hoosier state gave us by far the best of the three championship games. It was [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] who looked to be in control early as [player_tooltip player_id='2477598' first='Aiden' last='Woods'] (Pike H.S. 2027) knocked in a couple three-point shots and [player_tooltip player_id='2477597' first='Jeremiah' last='Murphy'] (North Central H.S. 2027) consistently got to the basket off of the dribble. Their strong play in the first half helped build a convincing 32-21 advantage. However, Team Robinson certainly did not roll over.

It was primarily the two-headed monster of JT Timberlake Johnson (Fort Wayne South Side H.S. 2027) and [player_tooltip player_id='2480704' first='Tyvon' last='Alexander'] (Fort Wayne North Side H.S. 2027) who brought Team Robinson back in the second half. The two shot-making guards combined to score 35 of Team Robinson's 42 second half points, but 6'6" [player_tooltip player_id='2470640' first='Anthony' last='Barnes'] (Fort Wayne Snider H.S. 2027) contributed a couple of big buckets when the tides turned in their favor. After a pair of putbacks from Barnes, Team Robinson actually took the lead midway through the second half and would remain on top until the final 90 seconds. That is when [player_tooltip player_id='2140420' first='Nash' last='Sigmund'] (Decatur Central H.S. 2027) decided that he would not let [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] go home empty handed.

As a freshman, Sigmund shot 42-107 (39.3%) from three-point range for the Hawks proving himself as one of the best catch-and-shoot threats in Indiana's Class of 2027. However, he started out cold on Sunday afternoon. He did not connect on his first triple of the game until right around that 90-second mark, but proceeded to make three down the stretch to give [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] the 67-63 win over Team Robinson. Both Murphy and Sigmund finished with an unofficial 14 points according to the stat sheet.

Timberlake-Johnson led all scorers with 27 points in the loss while Alexander added 20 points.

16u - Corey Graham Elite 75 [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] White 53

This game was going on during the 15u matchup that I was covering, so it is the championship content that I saw the least of on Sunday. Therefore, we will keep this recap a bit shorter. [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] White made a fantastic run through the tournament defeating The Golden Franchize Club, [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Black, and Kentucky Future Elite before finally running out of gas on Sunday afternoon. There was just too much firepower on this Corey Graham Elite squad.

Amir Moye (Health Science 2026) scored 18 points to cap off his excellent weekend as a champion. The dynamic point guard is incredibly hard to handle off of the dribble. His primary running mate throughout the weekend, and in Sunday's championship game, was Jaydian Johnson who added 13 points while Ethan Ackom had 14 points.

Meanwhile, in the loss for [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] White, [player_tooltip player_id='1560972' first='Cooper' last='Sims'] (Pendleton Heights H.S. 2026) scored 16 points. [player_tooltip player_id='1561483' first='Dane' last='Sprigler'] (Silver Creek H.S. 2026) chipped in 13 points.

17u - [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Black 63 [program_tooltip program_id='2075515' first='Hoops' last='4 Health'] Thompson 39

Four-star point guard Jeremiah Fears was excellent throughout the weekend and was able to lead [program_tooltip program_id='2075515' first='Hoops' last='4 Health'] Thompson to the championship game of the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals 17u bracket. However, he and his team ran into a buzzsaw on Sunday afternoon against [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Black. After leading 30-19 at the half, [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] pulled away to win in convincing fashion 63-39.

6'10" center [player_tooltip player_id='2105376' first='Colin' last='Stack'] (Benet Academy 2026) was the star of the championship scoring a game-high 18 points. He was a two-way force all weekend long dominating around the basket, flashing the ability to make pick-and-pop three-point shots, and protecting the rim at a high level. Stack is absolutely one of the top prospects in Illinois' Class of 2026. Alongside the big man, [player_tooltip player_id='2105166' first='Vincas' last='Buzelis'] (Hinsdale Central H.S. 2025) and [player_tooltip player_id='2442145' first='Ian' last='Polonowski'] (Lyons Township H.S. 2025) reached added 13 points. In the end, there was no doubt left that [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Black was the best team at the event as they won their second Prep Hoops Grit Region championship in three years.
