One of the more skilled big men in Ohio, Hoerner can get a bucket on the block with his back to the basket. Using his frame and skill to push defenders around and bully his way to the bucket, Hoerner also has solid footwork and touch around the rim. Hoerner put up monster stats in the GWOC as a Junior, leading the conference in scoring and rebounding. For teams that want to play a more half-court game with an emphasis with their big men offensively, there's few better options than Hoerner. A player who won't fit in all college systems but the ones he does fit, his skillset is rare enough where he should get a lot of college interest from Division II, III and NAIA programs. With a 3.9 GPA according to his twitter bio, he'll also be attractive to high academic programs. One of the most productive bigs in Ohio, Hoerner is a name to know from the Dayton area.

Coming off a monster first team all state season on the diamond where Knupp is committed to Eastern Michigan, we wanted to also make sure his basketball talents are appreciated. A forward who goes all out for rebounds, loose balls and has solid athletic pop, Knupp is a valuable piece to an Olentangy Orange squad that fell one game short of reaching the state tournament. A monster performance Vs Reynoldsburg in the district finals showed us how valuable Knupp can be on the hardwood and how well rounded of an athlete he is. While most years football prospects take up the most commitments from other sports on our website, there's a couple of big time baseball commits in Ohio's 2025 class that can hoop as well.

A late blooming big man, McCruter has had a strong spring on the Prep Hoops Circuit with the Ohio Saints. Athletic enough to get on the rim when he has a clear loading zone, McCruter is a mis-match with his size and athleticism. Getting limited minutes as a Junior on a deep Big Walnut squad, expect McCruter to get some more action this season as he continues to develop. Wouldn't mind seeing McCruter go take a redshirt, JUCO or post grad year to continue to develop before getting ready to impact a four year college basketball game. Lots of upside with McCruter and he improves each time I watch him play.

Another late blooming big man, Showes has a high-level frame and body. Standing at 6'9 with broad shoulders and a strong chest, not many big men are going to be able to push around Showes in the paint. Showes got more minutes for Middletown as the year went on and had his lone double-digit scoring game Vs Colerain in the middle of February. Another prospect who needs time to develop but could see the rewards of being patient and continuing to work in a couple years down the line.

An undersized forward who is mobile, switchable and rebounds, Johnson checks off boxes that small college coaches look for in forwards. Johnson has had a nice spring for [program_tooltip program_id='2078667' first='TNBA' last='']-Ohio with his energy that he brings to the court. Scoring most of his points in the paint, Johnson can finish with both hands at the rim. Expect him to have a strong senior season for an always competitive Medina program.

Fedak is one of the more improved players I've seen this spring with a lot more confidence with the ball in his hands. Showing growth in his ability to attack a closeout, finish at the rim and run in the open court. Fedak has shown these flashes on the Prep Hoops Circuit and getting valuable reps to prepare for the high school season with Westerville North where he's going to provide key size for a guard-oriented team.
