One of the biggest players in Ohio’s 2025 class, Showes has height and size you simply can’t teach. I was impressed that his best game early in the season came against

, another one of the biggest players in Ohio. Where Showes has struggled has been against teams with undersized bigs in the paint and also staying out of foul trouble early in the season. A prospect to be patient with, it’s obvious when you watch Showes that the physical tools are there and he’s improved since I first started watching him as a Junior. I’ll be curious if Showes goes to a college where he can play as a freshman or ends up doing a post-grad or redshirt year.

A prospect who showed flashes for Middletown as a Junior, Showes took some huge leaps forward this summer to make a big climb in our rankings. A massive frame, there’s few bigger bodies in Ohio than Showes. Taking up a ton of space defensively, Showes can sit in the paint and protect the rim and clear up on the offensive glass. A major work in progress offensively, Showes showed improvements with screen setting, hands and finishing above the rim. All signs are currently pointed up for Showes as he improves every few months when I watch him play. Showes best basketball is going to be later in his career, name to track down the road!

One of the more improved players in Ohio’s 2025 class, Showes has come on really strong this summer and is set for a huge spike up our rankings. Showing some real development on the offensive end of the court, Showes had some power finishes in the paint when he was able to catch and turn to go up at the rim. Always had an elite body and frame, Showes takes up a lot of space defensively in the paint. A name to know in SW Ohio, Showes still has a long ways to go but he is trending upward fast and improves every time I watch him after a month or so, the fall will be a great time for him to continue to improve as he prepares for a tough GMC run with a Middletown program that’s back on the rise.

A rapidly improving prospect, Showes didn’t get a ton of playing time as a Junior, scoring 2.1 PPG and 2.4 RPG but I liked what I saw physically from Showes. Fast forward a few months ahead and Showes is making clear strides with his confidence with the ball in his hands and overall defensive ability. Still a late blooming big who needs patience, Showes has the physical tools to really blossom and become an impactful college player down the line. I’d like to see Showes target either JUCO, post grad or redshirt opportunities to continue to develop because his trajectory is pointing upward and will only continue to improve over time.

Another late blooming big man, Showes has a high-level frame and body. Standing at 6’9 with broad shoulders and a strong chest, not many big men are going to be able to push around Showes in the paint. Showes got more minutes for Middletown as the year went on and had his lone double-digit scoring game Vs Colerain in the middle of February. Another prospect who needs time to develop but could see the rewards of being patient and continuing to work in a couple years down the line.
