The "Summer Ball" season is now over after the annual Titans Rockets Classic in Shelbyville. Saint Xavier won the 64 team tournament over Great Crossing. Here are some of the Juniors who stood out to me. Keep in mind that I did not see every team play. I was in person on Friday and watched a little bit online when I could on Saturday and Sunday.

Cole is a bit of a known commodity at this point but the more you watch him, the more you appreciate all he does for Male. Edelen is a pest on defense and is much more of a playmaker than he was when he was younger. He still shoots the cover off the ball but he's a more complete player at this point in his career.

Moss was the most impressive player I saw this weekend. He was electric with the ball in his hands and made shots when needed. Jonathan is very steady and doesn't get sped up. He wants the ball in his hands when others sometimes run from it.

The transfer of Melo Boone and [player_tooltip player_id='1344606' first='Aveion' last='Chenault'] not playing basketball anymore may be the best thing for Surratt, long term. My biggest complaint about him has been that DeMarcus can become too complacent but this new Douglass roster cannot afford for him to be that way. Don't be surprised if you see DeMarcus take the next step in his development now.

When I watched Cash, he really struggled offensively in the first half. But in the second half, Whitehead came to life. He showed the ability to create offense through his defense with a couple of steals and got some shots to fall. I'm interested to see Cash again soon.

Watching Spurlock against W.E.B. DuBois on Friday, I got the full experience. He has never met a shot he doesn't like but once he got hot, Jacob was pulling up from almost half court and hitting. A lightning quick release and "in the gym" range makes Jacob an elite shooter in the Stephen Curry mold with his size and quick mechanics. Jacob also showed that he can get to the rim and finish. He needs to improve his one on one defense but Jacob is possibly the best offensive player in the 2026 class.
