He's a guy you simply cannot leave alone around the arc but also profiles as one of their bigger returning bodies and showed he can drive inside too and make plays at the rim.

Malisani has made some big strides physically in the last year and is getting ready to have a big role in his junior season. He's been primarily an inside presence so far in his high school career but he showed off the tools at the Shootout to be a more well-rounded offensive threat. He was working well off the bounce on the perimeter, showed a good-looking stroke from behind the arc, and showed the assertiveness needed to be one of their top guys.

Draculan had a nice breakout last season to help lead Grandview to the 2A state title game and continued to be a force for them this weekend. He's an excellent finisher from the midrange and in, displaying a soft shooting touch from middy, and some solid burst to get up at the rim and finish. He's a tough kid that plays bigger than his size suggests and has great activity off the ball to find open areas to attack.

Bentley is a long, versatile wing who shoots the long ball exceptionally well, but also shows that touch in close and can knock down shots off the catch from any distance. He's a kid who could make a nice jump this summer and is using his size defensively to contest and block shots in the paint.

Ahrens returns to start for Curtis for his fourth straight season next winter. He'll be a senior when the 2024-25 season starts and will most certainly be one of the key leaders on this team. He plays big inside and showed over the weekend how impactful he can be operating from the high post. He knocked down several turn and shoot looks from the elbows, showed some good vision to switch the ball or find teammates by the hoop, and can put it on the floor and use some strength to get to the cup.

Webb has grown to 6-foot-7 now and boasts an awesome inside-out presence. He can knock down the 3, blocks shots all over the floor, and continues to play bigger at the rim with power finishes. He'll be a key guy as O'Dea looks to reload and make another run into the state tournament next winter.

Annie Wright took home the championship at the Curtis Shootout and their depth is a big reason they belong in the discussion for one of the top teams to watch next season. Lester provides them that scoring punch aside from their top two guys, and is a really underrated athlete who can make plays on both sides of the ball. He's able to go get a bucket off the dribble, scores pretty well from each level, and has the eye to jump passing lanes and create turnovers.

Johnson has had a big spring and continued that momentum in the opening weekend of summer ball. He hit a few 3s early on in their matchup against Camas and helped lead a late comeback with some backcourt pressure and crucial buckets. He also hit the final two free throws to seal the win with about 11 seconds left in the game, showing he'll be a big piece for Auburn this winter.

Here are some names to watch who showed some solid growth in their play over the weekend and represent some of the summer's early stock risers.
