Vargas is a pure stroker from outside who should step up to be a top scorer for the Wildcats next season. He’s a guy you simply cannot leave alone around the arc but also profiles as one of their bigger returning bodies and showed he can drive inside too and make plays at the rim.

Vargas played really well off the ball this past year, getting into spots for catch and shoot 3s, finding space to make plays by the rim, and showing good hand-eye with tips and steals. Mt Spokane graduate’s top scorer and point man, Ryan Lafferty Ryan Lafferty 6'5" | CG Mt. Spokane | 2024 State #320 Nation WA , so it only makes sense Vargas could be a candidate to pick up the slack. When the ball is in his hands he shows an overall good feel for the game. He can drive gaps, make on target passes on the go and at a standstill, and seems to recognize space really well.

It’s going to be tough for Vargas to break through this season for the Wildcats, but with his good stroke from behind the arc, he could sneak his way on the floor. Mt Spokane returns a deep roster and has plenty more coming up the pipeline. Vargas will make his mark by providing consistent shooting but also a big body on the outside that can come in right away and match up with a variety of guards.
