Bentley is another kid who was primarily effective behind the 3-point line in past seasons but has expanded his game and filled in his shot chart. He’s looking to find space to shoot in the short to midrange; floating with penetration, working in the pick-and-pop, and recognizing space on drives to sink short paint shots. He’s also been a stronger finisher at the rim and played a key role blocking shots for them on the other end.

Grandview placed second at last year’s 2A state tournament and look ready to make a run back to the state title game this season with many of their key guys returning. One of those key guys is Bentley. He has the ability to stretch the floor but has really looked stronger attacking the paint and not settling for outside shots. He’s embracing playing with physicality at the rim and with his length he’s able to make plays on defense, getting his hands on shots and passes.

Mavryk played great all weekend for this Grandview team that isn’t losing a lot from last year. They are a solid, gritty team who plays fundamental offense and defense. With Fransisco Medina facilitating the offense Bentley was able to get many open threes off, sinking them at a high rate. He will have a big senior year next season as Grandview looks to make another state run.

Bentley rises the rankings because of his versatility and length. He can hit the outside shot, find space around the paint for quick finishes, and does a great job working off the ball to make plays. Whether it’s help side blocks, big rebounds, or relocating off the ball for open shots, Bentley has been a key player for a Grandview team looking to make another deep run in the 2A this coming season.

Bentley is a long, versatile wing who shoots the long ball exceptionally well, but also shows that touch in close and can knock down shots off the catch from any distance. He’s a kid who could make a nice jump this summer and is using his size defensively to contest and block shots in the paint.

The tall Grandview wing made some impressive plays on both sides of the ball against Selah, and showed how important his skill set is to this Greyhounds team. At 6-foot-4 he has some length to disrupt shots inside and was pretty aggressive going after shots in the paint early on. He also used that length when working off the dribble, getting a nice running right hand floater to fall under tight defense, then later using his body to shield the defender and finish on the other side of the rim for a reverse layup. Bentley also has a nice shooting stroke from outside though most of his success in this game came in the paint. Look for him in their next game tonight against Prosser for their chance to clinch a spot at the state tournament.
