Armendariz had a slow first half against West Valley but was a big part of their second-half run to make it a close game. He’s a smaller guard but he has great quickness and is a strong player who can impact the game with his toughness and speed. He really left his mark on their second-half run with his ability to work to the foul line and set up his teammates from different spots.

Armendariz is a quick, attacking guard who can create a lot of action for his team. He has plenty of go-to moves off the bounce and consistently dives into the lane, is shifty enough to shake defenders in tight spaces, and has the jumper to pull right over defenders outside. He plays tough on both ends and looks poised for a big season in the winter.

Armendariz was a constant threat with the ball, taking guys off the bounce, using some quickness and strength to battle his way to the rim, and showing a nice stroke from outside. He was crafty, played with a high pace, and showed he could score in different ways from each level. He was their main creator out there and will play a big role as Grandview looks to make their way back to the 2A state title game this winter.

Ultra-quick guard who plays with supreme confidence and boundless energy. Gets up on ballhandlers outside to pressure the point of attack, and likewise applies pressure on defenses with his quickness and decisive moves from the perimeter. Can get going with the jumper but also shows an ability to attack gaps and make good decisions in traffic.
