Over 160 players are a part of the new 2026 rankings. The shooting guard class group is loaded with talent and has the potential to have a big impact on the hardwood over the next two years. Here are the top shooting guards in the 2026 rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595669' first='Chidi' last='Nwigwe'], 6'6 St. Benedict's

Nwigwe is the top-ranked shooting guard in the 2026 rankings update and is one of the top-rated prospects in the Northeast. The 6'6 guard plays with confidence on the ball as he is able to get to his spot on the floor and can finish through contact. Nwigwe has a smooth release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. He has a solid handle and moves well without the ball in his hands. Nwigwe is a talented guard prospect whose ability to score in a variety of ways makes him a prospect to watch in the Garden State.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580578' first='Jayden' last='Hodge'], 6'5 St. Rose

Hodge has made plays throughout the spring and is looking to carry it over into the summer. The 6'5 guard has a good first step, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finishes strong above the rim. Hodge uses his size to see over his defender and can also score in the mid-range. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and pushes the ball well in transition. Hodge is a skilled guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595674' first='Aiden' last='Derkack'], 6'5 Colonia

Derkack has had a big spring as he has put his versatility on display. The 6'5 guard can finish in a variety of ways around the basket and is unafraid of contact. Derkack can find his open teammates and rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure. He uses his length to make plays on the defensive end and is a strong rebounder. Derkack picked up a couple of D1 offers this spring and has the potential to pick up more this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595671' first='Jebron' last='Harris'], 6'4 Patrick School

Harris is one of the top shooters in the 2026 class, making him a prospect to watch this summer. The 6'4 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Harris moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He slides his feet on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. Harris is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1595680' first='Mason' last='Santiago'], 6'3 St. Peter's Prep

Santiago has shown the ability to play on the wing as well and should put that on display this summer. The 6'3 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to get into the paint off the bounce and finishes nicely around the basket. Santiago is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. He is a tough on-ball defender and moves well without the ball in his hands. Santiago is a gritty guard prospect who does what it takes to help his team win games.

Other Prospects to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id='1874042' first='Micah' last='Pierce'], 6'3 Paterson Kennedy

[player_tooltip player_id='1595684' first='Saad' last='Mitchell'], 6'2 Hudson Catholic

[player_tooltip player_id='1943569' first='Donnie' last='Gregory'], 6'2 Pingry

[player_tooltip player_id='2342638' first='Jaden' last='Brown'], 6'2 Bergen Catholic

[player_tooltip player_id='1919211' first='Dorsett' last='Mulcahy'], 6'4 Gill St. Bernard's
