impressed with his ability to be a dynamic threat from the perimeter. Gregory’s skillset is extremely polished and that’s evident with his phenomenal shot making prowess— possessing a clean and repeatable shooting stroke to excel as a consistent and polished shooter off the catch and one that extends naturally into his pull up game. A continuously improving playmaker on the ball, Gregory also flashed some of his decision making ability with some of the sharp and precise passes he made, both to his teammates ahead in transition and cutting in half court sets. Defensively, his ability to pressure the ball and force turnovers was reflective of his quick feet and quick hands translating to stops and athletic above the rim finishes on the other end in transition.

Donnie is returning to Morris Catholic for his Senior year and will put the state on notice. Watching him last season with the Crusaders and on the EYBL circuit you can see the constant development in his game. Last season as a Junior he recorded his 1,000th point while leading Morris Catholic in scoring at 15.7ppg. He’s a tall , strong guard with one of the purest jumpers you’re going to see. He can knock down shots off the catch and on the move. Plays above the rim in transition and is a lock down defender. Division 1 offers should be on the table in the near future.

Gregory can play either guard position and should put it on display this season. The 6’4 guard has a good first step, which he uses to get by his defender and knows how to finish around the basket. Gregory is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He has the length to defend multiple positions and is an underrated passer. Gregory’s ability to make plays with the ball in his hands should help his stock throughout the course of the season.

delivered an impressing scoring performance just this past weekend against Father Judge (PA). Creative and efficient off the bounce, Gregory used different dribble combo moves to create separation off the dribble and knock down smooth mid range pull ups and in between area floaters while also mixing in some graceful finishes at the rim. Just as effective off the ball, Gregory also thrived as both a spot up shooter and a movement shooter from three point range. A very confident and fluid rhythm scorer, Gregory continues to demonstrate his versatility as a creator in the different ways he’s able to put the ball in the basket.

Workman’s running mate with Morris Catholic, Gregory was equally impressive in a blowout win in front of several D1 head coaches. His game isn’t as explosive as his teammate’s, but Gregory makes his mark with his efficient production and movements as a dynamic off-ball threat and growing on-ball playmaker. He’s as consistent and refined a shooter off screens as you’ll find in the class, with a pure stroke that translates smoothly into the pullup game. His ability to guard the ball and get into transition as a threat to run for 3s or push it himself to create for his teammates make him a clean and translatable fit for a valuable role at the next level.

has showcased his ability to score the basketball from all over the court thus far this spring for the
NJ Beasts
. Scoring it from multiple levels, Gregory can attack on dribble drives and get to the basket, find his in between game when he gets cut off and hit mid range pull ups, and knock down open threes from the perimeter. Behind strong scoring performances over the course of this first month of AAU, Gregory has been ultra efficient and looks to continue to showcase his legit ball skills and ability to create offense going into the month of May.

Joining an established returning core from what was one of the region’s premier independent 16U teams last year, Gregory had no problems fitting in and then standing out in his role. An established three-level scorer, Gregory did the bulk of his work on the strength of his dynamic shooting stroke. With a prototypically quick and high release, he shook free for a flurry of looks off both the catch and dribble while displaying pristine footwork to get balanced and elevate cleanly over closing defenders. Gregory also did a nice job of getting into the ball defensively while showing solid versatility across the backcourt. We’ll look to see more from his arsenal off the dribble in future viewings, but the maturity Gregory shows in both his shotmaking and mental approach will surely attract D1 attention over the coming months.

has a natural knack for getting to his spots effectively. An excellent perimeter threat, Gregory does a great job of knocking down shots from behind the three point line as well as taking advantage of closeouts and finishing at the rim. Proven himself to play at his own pace and never really get too sped up, Gregory also does a great job of getting to his mid range when the defense gives him the opportunity to do so.
Transferring to Morris Catholic this season, look for Gregory to continue a lot of the success he had scoring the ball at Pingry and put up large scoring performances for the Crusaders this winter.
