There's nothing more that I look forward to in the spring then getting out to an AAU gym somewhere and watching games. It's not only a time to watch good basketball, but also check out the talent on display, from the 15U level to the 17U level. However, as we get the shoe event weekends off to a fast start (at least for Adidas already), it's important to have a lay of the land on who's playing. Check out our previews for some of the shoe teams that play within North Carolian from the 15U division below, getting their first taste of shoe circuit basketball on the big stage.

This [program_tooltip program_id='2220892' first='Team' last='United'] group is going to be an interesting mix of pieces that will be competitive on the EYBL and across grassroots this summer, and it starts with the trio of [player_tooltip player_id='1948021' first='CJ' last='Rosser'], [player_tooltip player_id='2287864' first='Charles' last='Chienggen Pur'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2268833' first='Josiah' last='Johnson-Freeman']. A really imposing frontcourt will be found with the skilled shooting and physicality of Rosser, and the impressive length and raw ability Pur has showcased on both ends of the floor. Johnson-Freeman is tracking as a scoring guard primarily, with good size and ability to knock down the deep ball with consistency.

Some other guards in the rotation include [player_tooltip player_id='1280877' first='Tayshawn' last='Adams'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2268825' first='Julian' last='Lowe'], both players who made an impact on the high school circuit this season and can compete with other talent their age both physically and skill wise. With these guys, plus a bunch of prospects that are bound to make an impact and impression on us over here at PrepHoops before the end of the summer.

[program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road']

This [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] group is stacking up to be one of the best 15U groups in the Adidas circuit once again, boasting a formidable lineup that includes one of the top prospects in NC in [player_tooltip player_id='2292410' first='Jordan' last='Page']. He averaged a double double in Session 1 as he showed why he's a wing/forward prospect to track nationally with top end explosiveness and an ability to score the ball at multiple levels, and with his young age (still 14), he may turn out to be a top player nationally when all is said and done.

[player_tooltip player_id='1797961' first='DJ' last='West'] led the group from the backcourt, alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2268800' first='Brennen' last='Jefferson'], both impressive scorers who can facilitate a little bit as well. [player_tooltip player_id='2415282' first='Josh' last='Conti'] was another name to know in the frontcourt as well, providing hustle plays and finishing at the rim. With this team having both top end talent and multiple guys who can carry the load each night, they will be a team to monitor in Rock Hill later this summer.

[program_tooltip program_id='2225832' first='Team' last='Curry']

[program_tooltip program_id='2225832' first='Team' last='Curry']'s group has been active so far in advance of Session 1 of UAA in Rock Hill in a week's time, and they look to have a nice stable of guards with scoring pop. Chief amongst those is [player_tooltip player_id='2415807' first='Seth' last='Harris'], a guy who played legit minutes for Caldwell Academy his freshman year, and seems to really know how to beat a guy who the dribble and finish well at his age. With his ability to finish through traffic and draw fouls, he should see an increased role for Caldwell next year. [player_tooltip player_id='2415811' first='KJ' last='Terry'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2415809' first='Sean' last='Nix'] are two of the other guards who are legitimate prospects to monitor, with Nix being an outside shooter while Terry has real size and can play as a jumbo point guard or on the wing, depending on the combination of guys in the game. [player_tooltip player_id='2165274' first='Noah' last='Dobyns'] is also a thin forward prospect who is rapidly developing in skill, and looks to be a potential breakout star if he can put all of his tools together.
