After the conclusion of the Chi-Town Tip Off we look at the best shooters from the 16U and 17U who competed over the weekend!

[player_tooltip player_id='1418511' first='Drew' last='Daoust'] – ([program_tooltip program_id='2076029' first='Wisconsin' last='Crusaders']) 2025

Was maybe one of the most consistent shot-makers this weekend. Drew had multiple games with two or more three-pointers this weekend. Incredible shot maker if he's on or off the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1978585' first='DJ' last='Bolden'] – (Mac Irvin Fire National) 2024

Bolden is one of the top unsigned seniors in the state of Illinois and he made his presence felt in the last game of the event against 5star Basketball. Bolden made 5 three-pointers as well as scoring in other various ways. He showed how consistent he can be from behind the arc so coaches should be smart to catch him before he makes a decision.

[player_tooltip player_id='1989437' first='Logan' last='Pokorney'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game']) 2026

Pokorney is a 6'4 guard who needs to have a hand in his face at all times. He shot the ball with lots of confidence connecting on multiple threes in each game this weekend. Logan is also strong off the bounce doing a good job at scoring in the lane with tough floaters and mid-range pull ups.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598681' first='Daniel' last='Loza'] - (SBT) 2025

Daniel is a quick guard who pushes the tempo while controlling the pace as the lead guard. He's also a terrific shooter who nailed nine three-pointers in one game. He has NBA range on his shot and can get it off with his quick release no matter who is defending him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1297112' first='Samuel' last='Wellman'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game']) 2025

One of the better pure shooters at the event. Sam made multiple threes in most of the games I watched of his. He has a textbook release with the ability to shoot well off the line.

Jacob Rice ([program_tooltip program_id='2076904' first='Chicago' last='Hoops']) 2025

I watched Rice scorch the nets on Sunday afternoon in a matchup against [program_tooltip program_id='2075385' first='Chicago' last='Grinders'] where he hit 6 threes en route to a 31-point performance. Jacob left Illinois for prep school and has changed his game from being a tough slasher to being a dependable shooter from three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1289073' first='Keegan' last='Van Kauwenberg'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076029' first='Wisconsin' last='Crusaders'])

Keegan is a player who caught our attention last year as a 16U guy. This weekend he looked good in the first matchup knocking down 5 threes in the contest. He's a great catch-and-shoot guy from the perimeter but is also starting to master the turnaround jumper with smaller guys guarding him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1295579' first='Jax' last='Abalos'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075622' first='M14' last='Hoops']) 2025

So it wasn't the amazing scoring weekend that we expected from Abalos but he did shoot the ball with fluidity when he did get the touches. At 6'7 Jax is a high-level shot maker who can stretch out to volleyball lines depending on the gym. He's a guy you have to guard as soon as he crosses half-court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1297001' first='Chase' last='Barnes'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game']) 2025

Chase finished his weekend with 38 points knocking down 6 threes in the game. Barnes is a terrific lead guard who understands the pace of the game. He can facilitate to keep the defense honest but will take over to win the one-on-one matchup. Chase picked up an offer after playing this weekend.
