Here’s a look at part two of the many 17U standouts from the event.
Aiden Argabright Aiden Argabright 6'0" | PG John Marshall | 2025 State #220 Nation VA | 6’1” PG | New World
Argabright continue to show that he’s one of the best guards in the DMV/VA area, as he just knows how to lead his team to win basketball games. He’s a crafty guard who can handle pressure and broke down defenders consistently, and it’s almost like you have to foul him or give up buckets as he touches the paint consistently. He scored the ball well from multiple levels, made terrific reads with the ball in his hands and made plays on the defensive end too.
Grant Polk Grant Polk 6'7" | PF St. Albans | 2025 State #378 Nation MD | 6’6”WF | New World
Polk is someone that has been so much fun to watch improve over the past few years, as he has seen a growth spurt and worked on his body to go from a stretch big to a true wing at this point in his career. He is well renowned for his shooting ability, and he put that on display helping New World to a 2-0 record and being one of their top scorers. He works well off the ball and understands spacing, he has a quick release and fantastic form and he showed a willingness to rebound and do some of the dirty work too.
Jaren Curtis Jaren Curtis 6'1" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2025 State MD | 6’1” PG | New World
Curtis is a guy we have watched for years as he’s been a starter at Bishop McNamara since he was a freshman, and now he’s starting to become more explosive and consistent in the way he plays. While he’s only 6’1”, he plays with a toughness and a grit that makes him play much bigger than he is on both ends of the floor. He’s a pesky defender who can guard the ball and is great in help side, he can play on the ball and touch the paint or move off the ball where he’s a good shooter an he’s a very good rebounder for his position too.
Chancellor Perkins Chancellor Perkins 6'2" | SG Highland | 2025 State VA | 6’2” WG | Higher Level
Perkins has shown time and time again he’s a big time player who can compete and contribute against some of the best, and he did just that at the event against some of the best talent in the country. He showed no fear whether he was working on the ball in isolation or moving off the ball, making tough shots and plays for himself and others. He is a very talented shot maker who doesn’t need much space, he showed excellent range and consistency from deep and he showed good quickness and the ability to get to spots off the bounce.
Julian Rivera Julian Rivera 6'1" | PG Highland | 2025 State VA | 6’1” PG | Higher Level
Rivera is the type of player that every coach would love to have and hates to play against, and in their matchup with Team Loaded he wasted no times showing his ability to make winning plays. He has great instincts and he showed that getting steals and making plays defensively, as well as making plays for himself and others with the ball in his hands. He has a gritty and competitive mindset, he thinks the game ahead of many others and he made plays for himself and others with the ball in his hands.
Ean Pennix | 6’3” WG | Higher Level
Pennix is one of those guys that Higher Level always has and just knows how to get the job done, as the 6’3” wing is a high motor and talented wing on both ends of the floor. He was productive without a lot of plays being called for him, and he competed against the best of the best throughout their two games. He worked well off hte ball on cuts and flairs to get open, he was an efficient shot maker from multiple levels and he did all the little things to help his team.
