did what he does best yesterday. As I said earlier, multiple guys could get shoutouts for how well they played and shot the ball for John Marshall. Aiden was one of them. He knocked down a lot of threes, one of which was a late and 1.

25p 5a 3r 2s vs Indy Elite
-Turned in a pretty dominant performance in a showcase win over the eventual 3SSB runner-up, getting to his spots to score from all 3 levels while getting to the line (12/12). Argabright’s development as a scorer has evolved to him being way more efficient with his dribbles, especially in ball screens– choosing to move the ball or find a teammate on the opposite side vs processing the floor while dribbling in the same spot. He’s using his matchup’s momentum and physicality against them, taking better angles to the rim to draw fouls to create easy offensive looks while getting primary defenders into foul trouble. The on-ball defense has improved and he’s staying home defensively on pickups instead of going for the poke-out steal– although he will have to put on more weight over the next year to deal with the physicality he will face playing against elite guards.

20p 3r 2s 1a vs Gonzaga
-The brightest spot in an up and down weekend for John Marshall, Argabright showed that he can put the ball in the basket against a flurry of different defenders. Argabright was very efficient but assertive with his dribbles, getting past his man and to the rim in 3 dribbles or less off a ball screen at the top of the key. The finishing bag around the basket has improved and he is utilizing pump fakes and taking better driving angles to avoid having his shot blocked. The on-ball defense has improved as he consistently forced dribble pick-ups in the halfcourt and fought to get back to his man when screened–although he will need to add more upper body strength and burst over the course of his final HS season.

14p 4r 3a 1s vs Thrill
Argabright’s ability to create space for himself off the bounce has really translated into an ability to hit shots off the dribble from all 3 levels consistently. A smart offensive player that uses his defender’s momentum against him and has vastly improved his shot selection, he manipulates the defense with his eyes well while navigating ball screens and is getting defenders in the air more often to either draw the foul or step through and finish around them.

is one of the smoothest and most controlled players you will see. He has been an excellent addition to this John Marshall squad and had a nice game. He had a quiet 14 points and was very active on defense. He turned a steal into a pull-up three early in the 3rd quarter that pushed the John Marshall lead to 19 following a couple of Virginia School stops. After this Argabright three John Marshall completely took over this game. He finished with 5 steals to go along with his 14 points.
