Hobbs made quite the impression in the Enloe Eagles varsity backcourt in his varsity debut in 2023-24. He’s an operative scoring guard who can score both off the bounce and off the dribble who produced 8.4 PPG, 2.8 RPG and 1.0 APG on 33 percent shooting from behind the arc as a freshman. He ranked fifth in the CAP6 in 3-pointers made (45), according to MaxPreps. He’ll be one to keep an eye on with 7th Nation Warriors on the grassroots stage this spring/summer.
Evans didn’t spend much time on the varsity squad with Eastern Wayne this season but he’ll be a solid addition to their young core next season. He’s an aggressive scoring presence at 6-foot-2 who’s already made his mark this grassroots season with NC Invasion on the independent scene. He’s shown he can get hot in a hurry from behind the arc and off the bounce given his length/athleticism.
Highlights
White is a versatile presence in the St. Stephen’s rotation already as he finishes up his freshman year on the varsity stage. He’s a 6-foot-3 prospect who put up 15.8 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 3.6 APG and 1.4 SPG on 53 percent shooting from the floor and 35 percent shooting from deep in 2023-24 with the Indians. He’ll be one to watch with Team Charlotte on the UAA stage this spring/summer given his abilities to operate in a variety of roles.
Highlights
Clay is an emerging floor general to get to know on the 2027 watchlist out of Burns. He’s a 5-foot-10 point guard with a high IQ for making things happen within the flow of the game. He produced 12.8 PPG, 2.8 RPG, 2.7 APG and 1.7 SPG in his varsity debut with the Bulldogs. As he continues to improve on his efficiency and prowess in the backcourt, look for his stock to grow. He’s a prospect to keep an eye on with Team Accelerate UAA this grassroots cycle.
Coleman is an emerging guard prospect out of West Charlotte to keep an eye on after producing 12.3 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 2.4 APG and 1.8 SPG on 41 percent shooting from the floor as a freshman on varsity in 2023-24. He’s a 6-foot-1 prospect who’s stood out on both the hardwood and the football field for the Lions as he begins his high school career.
Conti is an emerging name to get to know out of Millbrook who’s due to grow over the next few months. He put up 8.8 PPG and 4.0 RPG on 53 percent shooting from the floor in Garner Road ‘s first outing on the 3SSB stage of the grassroots season. He’s a sizeable prospect who’s figuring out how to operate inside and out with his length/frame on both ends of the hardwood.
