The son of former NBA player Raef LaFrentz, Cael is a huge young big man, standing at 6-10, with soft hands, a solid face-up game, and good timing and instincts as a shot blocker. As he continues to gain strength and smooth out his footwork to pair with his 15-footer, he’ll become an unstoppable offensive force. He averaged 15.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks a game, and is one of the players in the 2026 class with the highest upside.
(45) PG Dylan Bosma Dylan Bosma 6'1" | PG Unity Christian | 2026 State IA (Unity Christian)
A 6-1 guard who loves to attack the rim and play downhill, Bosma is coming off an extremely productive sophomore year in which he averaged 14.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.3 steals a game, helping lead the Knights to the 2A state tournament. He’s a tough guard who embraces contact around the rim and finishes through it.
(47) SG Austin Wieringa Austin Wieringa 6'0" | SG Unity Christian | 2026 State IA (Unity Christian)
Another tough, physical guard who loves contact and pounds the glass on both ends of the floor, Wieringa averaged 12.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals a game for the Knights while shooting 52.1% from the floor. He’s a good athlete who loves to rebound and play downhill.
(48) SF Brayden Hoben Brayden Hoben 6'5" | PF Grand View Christian | 2026 State IA (Grand View Christian)
Hoben enjoyed a breakout sophomore year for the Thunder, averaging 15.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists a game while showing the ability to get scorching hot from behind the arc. He has good size at 6-5, moves well without the ball in his hands, and can knock down shots off the catch routinely.
(51) PG Jameson Scharnberg Jameson Scharnberg 5'11" | PG Grand View Christian | 2026 State IA (Grand View Christian)
Scharnberg transferred to GVC from Des Moines Christian midway through the year, and performed well at both schools. He’s a good ball handler and playmaker who sees the floor well, can create off the dribble, and is a high-level perimeter shooting threat. In his games with the Thunder, he averaged 11.0 points and 2.8 assists a game on 45% shooting from 3.
(57) PG Trevor Theobald Trevor Theobald 6'0" | PG Clear Lake | 2026 State IA (Clear Lake)
Theobald is an exciting playmaker in the backcourt who came off the bench to give the Lions a dynamic ball handler and passer, dishing out a team-high 5.5 assists a game. He sees the floor extremely well and uses his court vision and speed to put constant pressure on opposing defenders.
(62) SF Austin Schulte Austin Schulte 6'2" | SF Pella | 2026 State IA (Pella)
Schulte is a talented, physical 6-2 wing who can score from all three levels, showing a smooth stroke from behind the arc (38.3 3P%) and the ability to get to the rim off the dribble. He averaged 7.7 points and 3.9 rebounds a game as a sophomore.
(63) SG LaMarious Clark LaMarious Clark 5'10" | SG Prairie | 2026 State IA (Prairie)
An athletic, quick 5-10 guard who can create looks for himself and his teammates off the dribble, Clark was a big performer off the bench for the Hawks, averaging 6.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.7 steals a game. He uses his speed and length effectively on both ends of the floor.
(74) PF Wor Wor Wor Wor 6'4" | PF Hoover | 2026 State IA (Hoover)
A bouncy 6-4 forward who can score around the rim and contribute on the glass, Wor is an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to develop and add strength to his frame. He averaged a team-high 11.8 points a game as a sophomore.
