Scharnberg will pair with Hoben to give the Thunder arguably the best one-two punch in the state. He’s a quick, skilled guard who can bury shots from the 3-point line off the dribble, create plays for his teammates, and he has a knack for jumping passing lanes and turning defense into offense. He averaged 15.6 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game last season.

Scharnberg transferred to GVC from Des Moines Christian and was good for the Thunder down the stretch, averaging 11.0 points and 2.8 assists on 45% 3-point shooting in a handful of games with the Thunder. With him being implemented into the system for a full offseason now, expect to see him shine as a playmaker, scorer, and defender.
