The move: 21 to 11
Watkins shoots up another 10 spots in the rankings following a really good junior year for the Falcons, helping lead them to their first state tournament appearance. The primary reason for his jump, however, is the growth spurt he has had, shooting up to 6-2/6-3 while maintaining his speed, playmaking, and shooting. A skilled ball-handler with a great feel for the game, he averaged 21.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.2 steals on 51-42-77 shooting splits.

He’s a true weapon operating in the mid-to-high post area, passing and getting his teammates involved at a high clip, creating off the dribble, and knocking down mid-range looks. He averaged 19.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists a game as a junior for the Wolfpack, leading them to the 2A state title.

The move: 50 to 31
Malu recently picked up a Power 5 football offer from Nebraska, a testament to his raw athleticism. He’s still a pretty raw basketball player, but the old saying is that you can’t teach size, and Malu has size (6-7/6-8) and athleticism that make him a very interesting prospect on the hardwood as well as a rim-runner and rim-protector. He averaged 10.5 points and 8.6 rebounds a game on 65.6% shooting as a junior.

After seeing Haack play live against Wilton, it’s clear to see that the 6-8 forward has the talent to play at the college level. He has a chance to make that a reality this summer playing with the Iowa Barnstormers . He can handle the ball, protect the rim, score inside and out, and is relentless on the glass. He was asked to do everything for a really young Tigers team and still averaged 21.1 points, 13.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 4.2 blocks a game on 46-33-65 shooting.
