Here’s a look at part two of the top wings in the class, ranking some of the top shooting guards and small forwards in the sophomore class.
15) Mike Robinson Mike Robinson 6'4" | SF South County | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SF | South County (#43 Overall)
Robinson is part of a talented young group at South County that will be a problem over the next few years, and he has a lot of game like his dad who was a former All American. He’s a top notch athlete who thrives in transition with his ability to finish at the rim, he is a very good defender who uses his length to challenge shots and get deflections and he can make tough shots from multiple levels.
14) Lukas Buinevicius Lukas Buinevicius 6'5" | SF Virginia Episcopal | 2026 State VA | 6’5” SF | VES (#42 Overall)
Buinevicius has made a lot of noise for a rebuilding VES team in his first two seasons, as he has a lot of tools that makes him very intriguing moving forward. At 6’5” he has a great frame and good strength to get downhill and play through contact, he scores it well in the midrange and from all three levels and he’s a good rebounder who plays with a chip on both ends of the floor.
13) Jayden Brown Jayden Brown 6'3" | SG St. Anne’s Belfield | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SG | STAB (#38 Overall)
Brown gets overshadowed at ties on a STAB team who has one of the best backcourts in the state, but he’s made big strides over the past few years and has a lot of intriguing tools moving forward. He’s sprouted over 5 inches over the past year and has long arms and has gotten bouncy as he’s grown into his body, he can lay on the ball and get downhill and he has a ton of upside defensively.
12) Jake Bahr Jake Bahr 6'4" | SG Bishop Ireton | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SG | Bishop Ireton (#37 Overall)
Bahr has come on this year to show that he can flat out play and he really has a knack for scoring the basketball in many different ways. He’s a lethal shooter from deep with good range and a quick release, he can post smaller wings and guards where he can hit tough fall aways or use his strength to finish and he is excellent when he gets to the pull-up in the midrange.
11) Marcus Hancock Marcus Hancock 6'3" | SG John Paul The Great | 2026 State VA | 6’3” SG | John Paul the Great (#32 Overall)
Hancock may be a little low on this list as we continue to watch him, but the first impression is that he is a next level shooter who is as consistent as the best I’ve seen. He shoots the ball effortlessly and at an extremely high clip on a good amount of attempts, he has deep range off the catch, a quick release to get it off and he can attack closeouts when they start closing hard on him.
10) William Robinson William Robinson 6'5" | SF Westfield | 2026 State VA | 6’5” SF | Westfield (#29 Overall)
Robinson has a lot of great tools moving forward, and it’s simply him continuing to work and waiting his turn and he’ll turn a lot of heads with college coaches. At 6’5” he has a great frame that will fill out nicely moving forward, he’s a natural and explosive athlete who can make plays on both ends of the floor, he’s a threat in transition and in the half court both as a shooter and a downhill attacker as well.
9) Trey Fitch Trey Fitch 6'5" | SG Fairfax Christian | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SG | Fairfax Christian (#28 Overall)
Fitch is following in his brothers footsteps who was an excellent player at Rock Ridge when they first opened, and the younger one was a huge reason for Fairfax Christian’s repeat this season. At 6’4” he has long arms and should fill out nicely moving forward, he’s a knock down shooter with effortless range and he’s a good athlete who can make plays when he gets downhill too.
8) Mathias Lee Mathias Lee 6'6" | SF Westfield | 2026 State VA | 6’6″ SF | Westfield (#26 Overall)
Lee is a special young prospect who has a ton of upside moving forward, and he’s starting to show more consistency and production throughout the season. He’s a big wing who can play and guard multiple positions, he’s an athletic and strong finisher when he gets downhill, he can mix it up in the paint as a rebounder and he still has room to get better moving forward.
7) Adam Perdue Adam Perdue 6'4" | SG Broad Run | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SG | Broad Run (#24 Overall)
Perdue is following in his brother’s footsteps as another very talented two guard from Broad Run who can put up big numbers with his shooting and scoring ability. At 6’4” he has a good frame that allows him to be physical when he gets in the paint, he’s an absolute sniper from deep with effortless range and great confidence in his shot and he can get hot quickly and take over games when he needs to.
6) Davion Brown Davion Brown 6'4" | SF Trinity Episcopal | 2026 State VA | 6’4” SF | Trinity Episcopal (#21 Overall)
Brown is perhaps the best overall athlete in this class an done of the top in the state, as he’s a nationally ranked wide receiver who holds all sorts of power 5 offers and is one of the top basketball players in the Richmond regardless of class. The 6’4” wing looks like a man among boys with his ability to get downhill and finish or attack the glass, he can score at will with the ball in his hands and he’s a big time playmaker defensively and a walking highlight reel in transition.
